Pansion Rose — Hotel in Grad Novi Vinodolski

After a tiring bus ride from Zagreb, our check in at Hotel Ruza with Katarina was friendly, quick and efficient. We did have a concern about obtaining a quiet room ( as the pansion is on a main street) and our hostess,Katarina, was most helpful in offering us a better room that suited us perfectly (quiet, spacious, and with a fab view of the sea......and with very effective air conditioning). We should add that the room (and the pansion, in general) was spotlessly clean. Later we met Zoran who was most helpful in terms of local activities; with Katarina offering to drive us to the area we were interested in. The breakfast was available inside or on the exterior deck. We chose the deck because there were such delicious sea breezes and views. The breakfast offering was generous although somewhat limited in selection; European style, with a choice of eggs cooked to preference. We also had dinner there one evening, and the food was tasty and cooked home style....Our waiter was attentive, with a sense of humour and delighted us with a complimentary liqueur at the evening's end.|||||||| THANK YOU Hotel Ruza for making our stay in Vinodolski, just that much better!||||P.S. Lovely little hotel as close to the beach as possible. I liked the placement near San Marino island so it was possible to swim there and back - many people do. Room had its own balcony and restaurant /cafe area was available for sitting throughout the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. My window was towards the street and unfortunately many cars drive there during the night so people who would be disturbed by that may need to request room with window towards the sea. Breakfast was good, although I missed tea and scrambled eggs. Check out was a bit early - 11am -, but I was able to agree with staff for later check out so I could have one more swimming in the morning. Overall, I am happy about...

The hotel reopened recently with the new owners, they are wonderful hosts that went an extra mile to make my familie's weekend better. The location is perfect, basically on the main road yet 50 meters from the beach and surrounded with beautiful park. Room and the grounds were very clean, room is nicely furbished with TV, fridge, nice bathroom and big wardrobe - everything you need for a nice stay. Since we spent most of our time on the beach and we were visiting off season, we didn't fully experience all that Ruža has to offer - nice big terrace, bar, restaurant, I only imagine hot summer evenings with nice seafood dinner listening to the waves hitting the shore... And the neighbors are...
