As for us, this place has been quite disappointing. Important thing - if you've checked the photos of this place and found octopus with potatoes quite attractive - stay calm, it should be pre-ordered, you won't be able to get it if you'll just came here for accidental dinner.

We visited it to have an evening break, we came at 17.20 and there were just few other people, but within 30 mins the restaurant was completely out of free tables. Seems that they are kinda local dining spot for nearest apartments and so on. And it was first warning message for us.

Second one was the menu - they have it on Croatian, German, English, French, but each one is just 2 pages of dish names without any details about what it's exactly. And if for "Grilled squid" it's pretty obvious, for "Daniela salad" it's not. And because they have a lot of visitors - the waiter won't have some time to help you with your order. So we ordered grilled squid with Daniela potatoes, Daniela salad and ravioli with mushrooms.

After just 10-15 mins or so we received our order and it would be great, but it's not. Because instead of Daniela potatoes it was boiled potatoes, squid was burned, so it was bitter and ravioli - over-salted. When we are talking about salad - yeah it was sliced quite good, but without any kind of dressing, I could be quite subjective, but sliced vegetables is just sliced vegetables and for salad you need to combine all the components using something like yogurt, oil or other sauce. In the end we also received a nice compliment of apple pie and small donuts and it was cute, but unfortunately won't change the overall impression.

To conclude - I don't think this place is one you should visit on purpose and I probably would recommend you to consider some other restaurant, but if you're staying somewhere around - then maybe it's okay,...

TL;DR: Konoba Danijela is an unparalleled dining experience. Highly recommend for exceptional food, service, and ambiance.

Every visit to Konoba Danijela leaves me astounded. No matter the dish, from pasta to steak to seafood, you're in for a culinary treat. The pasta is al dente perfection, the steaks are charred beautifully, and the seafood, bursting with freshness, is complemented by the perfect ingredients.

A special mention must be made for their tartar beef - simply the best I've ever had. Accompany your meal with their exquisite local wine and finish with their delightful dessert and terranino. The entire dining experience is heightened by the impeccable service - friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm.

The ambiance further enhances the dining experience. With its prime location, the restaurant is easily accessible, boasting easy parking. Once inside, the soulful strains of classic rock create an atmosphere that's both energetic and comforting.

Even with the inevitable seasonal price adjustments, the value for money remains excellent. Given the quality of food and overall experience, it's a steal.

To put it succinctly, Konoba Danijela is perfection in every sense. If you haven't been, make it a priority. You won't be...

We were lucky enough, through recommendation, to get accommodation here on short notice.

The rooms are spacious and very clean. They are air-conditioned which was very important because the weather was over 36°C and humid. Good wifi connection as well in the rooms.

At the back of the units, there is a good size swimming pool, a hottub and lots of green areas. This area was also kept very clean.

The location is outside the city of Porec, so it'd be necessary to have motorized transportation.

The family-owned business is well organized. They operate a restaurant where every night we were there, was booked out. The breakfast included with our room was delicious. Small buffet but everything was fresh.

The customer service was also superb, although at dinner time, it was quite crazy. Understandable with guests filled from corner to corner.

I definitely recommend...

Konoba Daniela is a gastronomic gem hidden away from the center of Poreč in the small village of Veleniki. The road to the restaurant itself, once it turns off the main road, seems like you've lost your way, but be patient; it's worth it! A large parking lot is in front of the restaurant, and you need a reservation for this place (sometimes several days in advance). The staff is amicable and smiling, the garden is charming, and the food is exceptional. Of course, we tried the tartar because how can you come here and not try the dish that is being prepared in front of you and that everyone is talking about? After lunch, we ate Daniela pancakes and received homemade strudles on the house, which, of course, we did not refuse. Make sure you don't miss a visit to this great restaurant if you're in the area!
