Camping Val Saline Rovinj — Hotel in Grad Rovinj

The camp is really big, so better take your bicycle to find a free spot. Of course the best spots are in front of the sea, but also on top of the hill you have a great view over the sea. The pitches are pretty big and offering really enough space for all your equipment. Everything seems to be very new or recently modernized. The sanitary facilities are extremly clean - I really appreciated this! Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can do various excursions like a fish picnic or just take the bus to Rovinj - leaving in front of the reception.||||There is an animation programm for kids and adults (unfortunately no yoga) and plenty of sport activities around the camp - badminton, soccer, tennis, minigolf. You can even visit the outdoor gym which is located close to the natural pool for kids. ||||We discovered a lot of beautiful beach spots and beach bars while running on the other side of the camp. The beach inside the camp is very nice, there are free parasols and sun loungers so you do not need to carry your own ones. We stayed in June and it was never crowded.||||The shop is offering what you need for BBQ and breakfast, there is a small fruit and vegetable kiosk and one more small store where you can buy beach stuff and international newspapers. Actually no need to leave the camp.... we had a really good and restorative time. I think Val Saline is a perfect place for families and couples of all ages.||||There is only one restaurant for dinner - Saline. Honestly we love to have BBQ when we are camping, but the restaurant is extremly delicious! We really recommend to go there - the squid and fish is amazing. Also the traditional croatian courses. Pizza is served all day. If you prefer having BBQ you can also go there and watch the sunset while enjoying the great housewine and view over the sea. During the rush hour (6,30pm -8,30pm) the restaurant can be pretty crowded and the stuff is really running. Stay patient - it is worth to wait.||||For sure this is one of our favorite campsides. From Munich we travelled 5,5 hours - so no problem to come for a longer weekend. Only thing you need to know - there are no...

Cool campsite with a nice location. Pro: 4** large, clean campsite with a lot of pitches; decent restaurant with decent prices and fast service; always free seats on a deckchair on the beach area with no additional cost, large and clean bathrooms/showers throughout the campsite.

But... Cons: 2** a little overestimated, especially for the prices! over 260 Eur / 3 nights for a camper with two adults and a child! I received an ugly pitch "Comfort" category where the car has barely entered, on the slope, in full sun, without a bit of shade, full of weeds and very unkempt! Because we chose to stay only 3 nights (I understood from the discussions in their language) we received another fixed pitch on the main alley at the entrance and also in full sun...not a very helpfull atitude from the people from the Reception !!! Meanwhile, better pitches at the same price level but with shade or a better position were empty durinf our stay. Conclusion, for a minimum of 3 days you get the worst positioned locations for a 5* price!

Wir waren in diesem Jahr zum zweiten Mal im Camping Val Saline im schönen Rovinji.

Bei beiden Aufenthalten hatten wir uns für ein mobile Home entschieden, beim ersten Mal 4+2 und beim letzten Besuch 4+0.

Wir sind eine Familie mit 5 Personen und der kleinste Besucher hat auf dem vorhandenen Sofa geschlafen, was vollkommen ausreichend ist.

Die mobile homes sind in einem top Zustand, gepflegt und die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Mit dem Gas-Kochfeld gelingt es ohne Probleme für alle zu kochen. Zwei Badezimmer beim 4+2 sind gut, aber das eine im 4+0 hat uns ausgereicht, ab und an waren wir auch in den öffentlichen Duschräumen. Diese sind soweit wir beurteilen können sehr gepflegt und man sieht immer wieder den Putz-Trupp alles auf Vordermann bringen.

Die Anlage an sich ist sehr schön gestaltet, der kleine Supermarkt hat eine gute Auswahl und ist preislich natürlich etwas teurer als der Kaufland oder Lidl, aber es ist nicht so, dass man das Gefühl hat exorbitant mehr zu bezahlen (Getränke sind es 20-50 Cent mehr soweit gesehen).

Der Obst- und Gemüse-Stand/Laden hat ebenfalls eine gute Auswahl an Produkten.

Die Pools sind ebenfalls super, sei es einer der beiden Salzwasser-Pools oder die beiden normalen. Man findet eigentlich immer eine Platz, so unsere Erfahrung, auch bei unseren Besuchen Mitte August. Für kleine Snacks (Burger) und Eis ist ebenfalls gesorgt, da sich die Bar und Grill hier befinden.

Die Strand-Abschnitte und die Promenade sind ebenfalls sehr einladend, sauber, haben viele Sonnenschirme und Sonnenliegen. Im Wasser gibt es mehrere Spaß-Inseln, die natürlich sehr gerne genutzt werden. Der Supermarkt ist von hier fussläufig zu erreichen, so dass man sich mit Getränken versorgen kann. Im nahegelegenen Restaurant kann man zudem Eis und Pizza holen.

Zum Restaurant allgemein muss man sagen, das die Preise völlig in Ordnung sind. Die Pizza ist gut, die restlichen Gerichte sind weniger stark abgeschmeckt, so dass wir nachwürzen mussten - aber jeder hat da ja einen anderen Geschmack.

Kurze Info: ab 17.30 bis 22 Uhr öffnen sich die Tore zum Übertritt ins das Camping Ressort von valalta (FKK), somit kann man wenn man Lust hat a) Nacktbaden gehen und b) die dort befindlichen Restaurants am Abend nutzen. In der Pizzeria muss man aber mit Wartezeit rechnen, wenn man nicht vorbestellt hat. Die Pizzeria hat übrigens die gleichen Pizzen im Angebot wie die in Val Saline, geschmacklich ebenfalls nahezu identisch - nur in Val Saline musste man keine 45 Minuten auf Pizza zum mitnehmen warten, hier merkt man wie riesig doch Valalta ist und daher mehr Besucher da sind.

Für sportliche Aktivitäten gibt es einiges auf dem Platz: Fußball, Tischtennis, Beach-Volleyball, Boule, Minigolf (kostenlos) und Tennis (Platz muss bezahlt werden).

Jeden Dienstag und Sonntag gibt es die Happy Hour an der Bar in der Pool-Area, mit Live Musik und reduzierten Preisen bei ausgewählten Cocktails - die übrigens echt gut sind!

TL;DR Val Saline ist ein super Camping Platz für Familien. Die Lage ist super, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind sehr gut, alles ist top gepflegt.
