We are just back from Campsite Polari where we have had 2 weeks beautiful family vacation and decided to leave some feedback here. We came first to the Camp Polari in July for 10 days and have been so happy with the facilities that decided to return in August again. The house we have chosen was Family Mobile Homes that had everything we needed for the best vacation: swimming pool just next to our "bungalow", big terrace with the sun beddings and big cozy table for nice family evening dinners, talks and relax. The house itself is brand new, very clean inside and having fully equipped kitchen that is very important for cooking especially if you don't want to go out to the restaurants every day. Hotel Service assistants were coming every day to us, asking if we need additional towels, cleaning or anything else. The house is equipped with the AC even if nice cool evening breeze coming from the sea, made no need of using AC at all. The camp is equipped with everything you need if you are with the children - apart of dedicated to the Family homes special swimming pools, there is also one big swimming pool with the all day animation program, games for children and even mini aqua park facilities. There are plenty cafes, bars and lounges on the territory where we could have mid day drink, snacks or just sit and watch the sea, and if we were tired of going out, there were nice Italian restaurant on the territory of the camp to dine in. But among all these facilities, the best one was situated on the camp territory Bakery shop where we could buy every morning just baked croissants and bread for happy family breakfasts or order freshly made hot pizzas just as Italians like. Camp is situated just 6 min drive from the beautiful city of Rovinj full of history and many many many tasty restaurants where one can try both seafood and meat with local truffles for the very reasonable price. And if one doesn't feel like driving, there are plenty nice restaurants that can be reached by feet and situated in the middle of the green nature.||Our special thanks going to Ms. Mirna Zec, who was very attentive and caring to each small request of us and made our stay more soft, comfortable and enjoyable. Big thanks to her! We will definitely recommend this Camp to all our friends in Italy and out for best family vacations. With best regards,...
Read moreOn arrival I initially got a very good impression. Clean, nice green lawn, modern. But the female receptionist seemed super bored and could barely put on a smile for us. She did what she was supposed to do but she really should find a new job unrelated to service. The other girl in the reception was VERY happy on the other hand. Pure joy! The other girl should learn from her.||We stayed in a mobile home area 160 with whirlpool. We were very happy with it. Modern, clean, good space and houses not too close to each other. After a few days however some noisy couples moved in next to us (not really disturbing but a bit annoying, talking loud etc) and we asked to be moved to another house. We got super nice service and was told it was no problem. We decided to stay despite of this and the couples left after a few days.||The whirlpool was a great addition and the pool cleaning guy did a great job changing the water etc. Very service minded and friendly.||The restaurant in the camping is good. Not amszing but good quality. Even better than most other around the area. There is a fruit stand here which is qay too over priced but the fruit is of excellent quality. ||The main pool is a bit too noisy and over crowded so we avoided it but the pool areas for mobile home guests are superb. Polari should make sure however that only mobile home guests can use these pools as anyone can enter the area and at times it could get over crowded here too although not bad at all.||We were a bit disappointed with Istria in general, not because of the people or nature (we love it), but because in our opinion at least the restaurants and food did not meet our expectations. Being so culturally and geographically close to Italy it was surprisingly hard to find even decent pasta dishes. These guys know fish best so stick to that.||We loved Polari and could definitely consider coming back and Im sure when we come home and watch our vacation videos we will feel much warmth in our hearts.||Croatia is beautiful and, sure there is room for improvement, but I believe in this country and its...
Read moreDo not waste your money. This place is a disgrace to Croatian tourism and should be shut down. I have travelled all over this beautiful country and have never been so disappointed in my life. I booked a standard two bedroom mobile home for me and my family (three young children). We were lured in by the amazing photos of the waterpark and were willing to indulge and pay the equivalent of $485 AUS dollars a night to give the kids a safe and fun experience. On arrival you are given a false sense of what lies behind the gate. When you entre the park you are hit with the scale of this place! There are literally thousands of people everywhere, a mix of tents and run down mobile homes with a handful of ‘nice homes’ seen in the brochures! The pool had what seemed like 5000 people in it all trying to get a square metre of pool to relax. The playground looked like it was built decades ago!! Our mobile home was so far back in the campsite that you would need to drive to the pool. For what you pay this is an absolute disgrace! It was obvious that other travellers felt the same as there were two other groups in front of us who seemed very annoyed also. The only saving grace was the front reception. Ladies were lovely!!!! I feel sorry for them as I’m sure they would deal with unhappy people all day. In the end we decided not to stay at this campsite and instead payed the cancellation fee of a nights accomodation of 485 in the process! If they were charging a third of this price there would be no problem, but it is insulting that they can get away with luring people in and charging what they do for the mobile homes. ||||In the end we left this dump and drove to amazing Opatija and stayed in a two storey penthouse with rooftop pool, 3 enormous bedrooms and lift within the house. We split the cost with another family and saved 70euros a day in the process! ||||Lesson learned- do your due diligence before booking! We didn’t and payed the price but are so...
