Would not even rate it with a star. We came at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and asked for a room. We were told there were two rooms available. Upon receiving our room key we then entered the room to find that it was left untidy and not cleaned per check out from the previous guests. With mandatory check out being at 10 a.m. I quickly questioned why it was still not cleaned... i.e. bed sheets left from guests, bed not made, garbage on the bed stands. We then went to the front desk and explained that the room was not cleaned from the previous guest. No apologies were given, but instead house keeping was called and we were sent to a new room on a different floor. We were relieved to find that the room looked to be cleaned. After a long day on the road I quickly ran to the shower to start the water and when going to use the bathroom I saw the tape around the toilet stating it had been cleaned. Once lifting the tape off the seat, we then found stains all on the toilet seat and in the toilet itself from a previous guest who had taken a "number 2". Livid and very upset, I turned off the water changed into my clothes and went back downstairs to complain. The receptionist called house keeping again stating "I don't know but they said it's not clean so can you go take a look." And then told me it wouod be taken care of. No apologies. No accommodations or "I'm sorry have a round of drinks on our bill for not 1 but 2 dirty rooms". I then asked for a refund after spending an entire 20 minutes there. With attitude we were refunded the money and when returning to the room to grab our belongings the house keeping lady was loudly complaining to the other house keeper how "crazy and cheap we were. That we made everything up only to use their shower for free. And that we only know how to complain." They had no idea that not only was I listening but I am Croatian and understood the entire conversation. I would never EVER stay nor pay 102 euros for a hotel that doesn't clean after its guests and even worse, skips out on a full clean per each new guest but instead tidies the room to make it seem clean. God knows how long those sheets are left without being changed. We took our money and went down the street where we received a wonderful apartment from an agency that was BEYOND accommodating and more...
Read moreTrying to find the reception area was very difficult. I walked my bicycle around the area 3 times until someone inside the hotel saw me. There was no sign outside showing where to enter (the whole front of the hotel has blacked out windows). Just any kind of sign outside would be helpful to customers!
The in room safe was locked so I could not use The room has a small desk but no chair to use The bathroom has no toilet paper holder, the toilet paper sits on a shelf The AC only goes down to 21.8C and was rather warm in the room There is a towel rack in the bathroom but half of it sits inside the shower so it gets all wet and towel gets all wet hanging The TV has only 12 channels (booking..com ad states its Sat TV) of which only 2 channels were in English There is no place in he bathroom to really put shaving kit and other toiletries; had to put them on the floor. WiFi signal was good and breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful in providing locked room for my bicycle as I'm bike...
Read moreGreat service at Hotel Bura 45n in Senj! My sister and I arrived in Senj on May 29, 2023 and wanted to take a trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park. We went into the Hotel Bura 45n to ask if they knew where we could book a tour. Despite the fact that we were not guests of the hotel, Marta at reception was incredibly helpful in booking us an excursion for the next day through Kobac Drvo Taxi. She arranged our pick up with the driver (who was prompt and competent – we felt very safe, particularly on the switchback roads), and she even sent us a text during our trip to ensure that we had made it to the park. Plitvice is a most magical place and we are incredibly grateful to Marta for helping us get there! After making the arrangements with Marta, we had an excellent lunch in the Hotel Bura 45n restaurant. Food, beverages and...
