I love everything about Hotel Vila Tina!
The people who work there are kind, friendly, and eager to help. They are quick with communications. They provide easy check-in and check-out, and offer help with the luggage. Housekeeping is efficient and accommodating. The stairs are easy to navigate. The bathrooms have all been recently remodeled and are very nice.
The beds are absolutely the most comfortable I have ever slept on ANYWHERE. We stayed six nights this trip, and I slept like a baby every night. The view is unforgettable!
The location is PERFECT - just a 12-minute drive from the airport in Split, Croatia.
They have a sauna and a jacuzzi on site to help ease your muscles after a long day of sight seeing. Best of all, their restaurant serves some of the tastiest authentic Croatian food we have ever enjoyed!
The breakfast buffet included with the room is INCREDIBLE and surely has something for vegetarians as well as meat-eaters. Green salads with tuna, smoked salmon, couscous with veggies, breakfast pastries, eggs, quiche, cheese and cold cuts, yogurt with granola and all the fixings for muesli. Fresh fruits and veggies, coffee, juice, and all kinds of yumminess to get your morning off to a great start. Sitting on the terrace each morning lingering over breakfast and coffee was delightful.
Besides the incredible breakfast, we have eaten a dozen dinners here and can highly recommend EVERYTHING they serve! Fish soup is delicious. My favorite appetizer is the Ravioli with sheep cheese, shrimp, and truffles! The octopus salad is also delightful, but if you only have room for one app - go with the creamy ravioli!
Our favorite entree is the Beefsteak Vila Tina in mushroom and prosciutto sauce, and we also loved the Pork in Plum and red wine sauce, Stuffed Rump Steak with ham and cheese, the whole Grilled Orada (sea bream), and the Grilled Lamb. Whether you eat meat or seafood, you will love the amazing food and spectacular service at the Restaurant and Hotel Vila Tina!
We give them TEN stars for service, comfort, view, and...
Read moreI chose this property based on its proximity to the airport - I had a very early morning flight and needed a quick commute. In hindsight, I wish I had stayed here for at least two more nights, just to enjoy the property and it's charming little town.||||Located about 10-15 minutes west of the airport, Hotel Vila Tina sits on a winding seaside road through a quaint stretch of houses, restaurants and shops. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were. I needed help booking an early morning taxi and they had it handled - my ride showed up exactly on time and for a much more reasonable price than the cabs we took around Split.||||The restaurant is superb. So much so that a reservation is recommended. We did not have one but the wonderful hostess hooked us up with a table after a brief 10-minute wait. The food was delicious and the ambience was off the charts - open air dining with a view of the water and the mountains in the background. They also have a breakfast buffet which was far better than any others we saw around Split or the islands.||||The room itself was modest but cozy and clean with a Spanish hacienda vibe. The bathroom was roomier than average and came with all of the amenities you'd expect. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and unlike most other hotel/AirBnB properties, the TV offered a broad range of multi-lingual programming. In addition to local Croatian channels, there were English, German and French stations. While you're not there to watch TV, it's a nice option for winding down the evening.||||If the hotel is the last/only stop on your trip. the front desk will organise a taxi to the airport for you for 200 Kn and you'll get there in less than 15 minutes. Definitely recommend walking through the little town and checking out some of the cool cafes and restaurants. ||||During our trip, we stayed in Split Old Town and on three different island properties before this and without a doubt. Hotel Vila Tina delivered the best value, best accommodations and most...
Read moreLovely little hotels like this are hard to find & when you do, they’re real gems. We have just enjoyed a 2 night stay at this great hotel. It was nice to receive a welcoming email a few days before we arrived, confirming details of our stay & offering complimentary breakfast. All the staff were very welcoming & friendly. The rooms are basic but very clean with good quality bed linen and I had the best night sleep on the comfortable bed ~ if you like a firm mattress. Our room had a fridge and excellent air conditioning. Good buffet style breakfast with a wide choice to suit everyone. We ate in the restaurant one evening & the menu offered a wide choice. The food was good, especially the fresh seafood. You do need to book as the restaurant is popular. We would certainly recommend staying here & we wished we had booked to stay longer. It’s an ideal place to stay when arriving at Split airport as we did - just an easy 15 minute drive & easy to find with plenty of free parking (but little or no noise from aircraft.) One thing to be aware of - there is no lift and two steep flights of steps to get to reception, with a further 2 flights of stairs to get to each of the two floors. Not easy with heavy luggage, although the man on reception did help us. But do be aware if you have mobility issues. We were sad to leave after just two nights but hope you enjoy your stay as...
