Pansion Maltar — Hotel in Grad Varaždin

Very comfortable hotel a block from Varazdin’s attractive, much restored centre. We had three rooms and chose the hotel because Europe was in a heat-wave and the rooms have air-conditioning. It worked well in all three (but you have to be a bit patient for it to kick in strongly in the two top-floor rooms). We were also put off by reviews of hotels right in the city centre reporting church bells throughout the night. We heard them but only faintly. Breakfast was terrific with cooked options offered however you wanted them. The English-speaking staff were very friendly and accommodating, including by offering us use of another bathroom when the cistern stopped operating in one.||There’s plenty of free parking...

The rooms where great for 99€, you get what you get. Two beds, bathroom, TV, big fridge and a big wardrobe.

The breakfast/food was awesome with great quality and great taste, eggs, croissants, mađaricas, bread and more…

The location is pretty good in the middle of Varaždin near a Konzum. Big parking, great entrance and more…

The service was practically the best, they greeted us with delicous orange juice, on the breakfast too. We can choose anything to eat for breakfast, and they make it handmade with love.

On the checkout they gave me a Pansion Maltar fridge magnet. Great.

We booked a family room for us and a double for my parents. We were welcomed with a smile and assisted with our luggage. The room was comfortable and clean. We always had parking at the hotel, and it was easy and close to walk to the main square and explore beautiful Varazdin. The location was great. There is a big supermarket across the road if you need it. The breakfast was so lovely, just like home, fresh breads, yoghurts, fruit, spreads and a hot meal like sausages or bacon and eggs.
