Hostel Cool — Hotel in Grad Vodice

Positive aspects of this hostel is that it is super close to the bus station, maybe 5 minutes on foot or less, super easy to find. Furniture was also modern and it is quite spacious. It is “in the middle” of the two beaches of Vodice. To your left, you will get to Hanger Beach, more popular among the younger ones. To your right, you will get to Blue Beach, more a family beach. This explanation was provided by a local, I am just reproducing. :P Negative aspect: when I arrived, the receptionist told me the guests do not have a key for the room. So the room always stays open. Kinda unsafe. BUT after spending the day at the beach, I arrived and the dorm room was locked. The receptionist works only until 17 oclock but I guess the owners were eating outside with their family so I asked them. They gave me the key and told me to return it. I opened the door and got my things to take a shower and gave them the key back. What a surprise, after the shower the door was closed again! I told them and they gave me the key and said I could keep it. Then I noticed one guest in the room had the key and he was the one closing it all the time. I do not know why. Whether you give a key to everyone or you don’t give it to anyone. Not to mention this guy was harassing me/hitting on me the whole night and following morning. That was the only time in my life I had this kind of abusive experience in Croatia… This hostel is good but the problem might be the Croatian guests coming just for party… Maybe make a female dorm available? Great service. Personnel/owners young, friendly, helpful, easygoing and amusing. Even though there are no parking spaces available, guys from the reception always find some free places for their guests in the surrounding streets.||Also, the owners join guests for parties and barbecues, making genuine home atmosphere.||Brand new hostel with modern interior. Clean and neat rooms and toilets & showers. Comfortable beds. Nice kitchen with cooking plates, fridge, small freezer, cutlery.||Located in the very centre of the city. Restaurants, cafes and grocery stores literally few steps away. Beach five minutes walking down the promenade, with great summer bars and open air parties.||All the night clubs and discos within one minute walking distance.||Really cheap comparing to other offers, especially because you can't get better...

I was passing threw vodice and spontaneously look for a room at hostel cool. Although I was out of luck, because they where full booked, but they where super helpful and warm hearted.
