This is a review of a week long trip to Zadar, Croatia were we decided to say at Hotel Delfin and also eat at the restaurant.
In terms of location it is outside of the main city of Zadar, that's not a bad thing because of the fact that you are still close to the water no matter where you are in Zadar.
Because of that we enjoyed the location of Hotel Delfin.
In the first day there we enjoyed the bar and the beach that was near the hotel and we also had nice accommodation in terms of room. The room was clean and for a week stay had enough to accommodate us.
No issue with security at the hotel as there was someone always on staff watching the hotel. And in terms of parking there was always enough room parking either at the side of the hotel or free public parking at the front of the hotel.
When the restaurant opened July 1st we were treated to a wonderful restaurant that was attached to the hotel. The restaurant staff was very attentive and made sure the food came out quickly. My favourite part about meals at the hotel wasn't just the food but the view of the sunset from our hotel.
In terms of food we got two dinners at the hotel. I had the meat plate which consisted of 4 different meats, sausage, chicken, ribs and steak. It came with a side of Bell Pepper rice and fries, for such a cheap price I got a lot of food. The next day I got fresh black risotto with cuddle fish. It was hot and fresh and I enjoyed it with gin and tonic I enjoyed all my meals at the restaurant it was the same level as downtown Zadar.
My wife ordered the Fried Calamari plate, fresh fried squids and a large amount of fries also for a great price. The next meal she got was the BBQ Ribs where my wife surprisingly at the whole thing which says something right there.
Thank you again to Hotel Delfin staff for...
Read moreArrived late. Room was clean but the smell of mold was overbearing. The room was hot 28°C /80°F and humid. The aircon didn’t work. Reception wasn’t manned at night. I tried literally EVERYTHING to make it work, even downloaded the manual. I spent 1.5 hours with that, but had to sleep with open balcony door, now I’m covered with mosquito bites. ||Found out later, that if on the same floor others decide to heat ( outside temperature was 18°C ( but inside much higher)) no aircon of the other rooms work. Usually I’d wouldn’t have a problemen with just sleeping with open windows, but out there was a SHITLOAD of Mosquitoes. The night was a nightmare!!!||If I pay 120€/night, I expect to use the AC when I want it without consent with my neighbors.||Staff just partially wore masks at the reception. None of guests did at the breakfast, which was quite packet. The breakfast itself was unexpectedly good, even the coffee which is rare in Croatian hotels. Safe wasn’t fixed in the closet. So anyone could just grab it and walk away with it. Sea access is made of concrete and beside the clear water, not very pretty. The balcony with sea view is quite beautiful though.||||The “gym” ( it doesn’t deserve that name) costs an extra fee of 5€, totally ridiculous and outrageous.||||My...
Read moreSo clean, the place sparkles. The staff are exceptionally helpful grabbing our suitcases and carrying them up the stairs. The receptionist who spoke perfect English was a huge help and would book excursions for residents . The room was large with effective A/C the sun deck on the roof was clean and tidy but sadly simply too hot for us in exceptional wheather. |The local bus service stops outside and the return fare to the city just over 3euros. The small car park opposite was free and the turn over of spaces allowed us to find a space each occasion over 2 days.|We booked half board and had a choice of 2 dishes. These varied in quality and I would not chose the option again. The breakfast was good with a range of local provision.|Nice to dine overlooking the ocean, even if there is a road between.|I would be...
