Restaurant Sunshine — Restaurant in Grad Zadar

It is hard to comment food as we finally did not manage to order. It was 8:30 PM so restaurant was nearly full but there were a few free tables outside. We have waited a few minutes to be seated which is perfectly OK for a good restaurant with a view, however unpleasant experience was the first moment as people before us were seated and the waitress did not come back to us. Finally a few minutes later we were seated but the table was not cleaned up yet. It was after another few minutes. Nobody offered drinks, no menu was provided but we decided quickly using a printed menu left on the table. We have waited for a good ten minutes and I finally notified a waitress that we are ready to order and she promised to pass this information to her colleague. The price and the food were not matching. Seafood pasta was pretty big but kind of bland, but that was OK since most other places around offer similar dishes. But the biggest offender was the burger. Asking almost 20 euros for a burger and microwave fries is, in my opinion, horrible. The burger can best be compared to the burgers your buy for 2 euros in a supermarket which are wrapped in plastic and are meant to be microwaved at home. Terrible. If you don't know how to make it, you should leave it off the menu. The rest of the menu was crazy expensive, making me wonder if tourists get a higher price than locals for the same dishes? The girl serving us was friendly, but I cannot understand how she seemed surprised over my complaints...

We came in for food and were extremely disappointed, the burger tasted like it was out of a tin and the salad tasted off and was drenched in oil. Sadly the food made us extremely unwell. The waitress we had was lovely, however when we tried to complain to the manager she started shouting at us and refusing to listen to what we had to say. We tried to be polite until she clicked in her servers face to get her attention. Other people around us were complaining about the food too.
