Skalinada Hotel & Restaurant — Hotel in Jelsa

Bad start, arrived and couldn’t find the reception, no signs of any kind to guide you... After a very brief “welcome” we had a quick light lunch despite no real light bites available. Went to the room which has a great sea view with terrace but is very basic. Not even shower gel...not mentioning a bed carpet on the floor... Rooms are also noisy due to stone floors. Internet : several attempted needed to log in (logs you out several times) and connection is very slow.||Last but not least, despite an early 10 am check out, a request to delay it by 30 minutes was denied... We booked suite 7, base floor, with a huge terrace, under pine trees most of day in a pleasant shadow, equipped with two comfy sunbeds and a 4 seat table with a sea view. Everything was perfect, owners and staff, overall service. They treat you as an important guest in an exclusive hotel, small enough for everybody to remember your name and your taste in food. Everything is perfectly clean, cousine was just perfect. Although it is a paradise for fish dining, cooks were doing wonders with vegetables after learning we are vegetarians. Ambient is as nice as it can get, a few meters away from a beautiful beach, with a clean light blue sea colour. All in all, highly recommended! We are looking forward to...
