HONEST REVIEW & GUIDE TO STAYING IN HOTEL PLAZA DUCE! Having come back 3 days ago from visiting here, here’s my personal experience and hopefully a helpful insight into Hotel Plaza Duce for anyone wanting to go. First off, the transfer is a 40 minute bus ride from Split airport, not terrible, but the drivers (especially on motorbikes) are maniacs so be prepared for that. We arrived on a Sunday, unfortunately by the time we got to the hotel, dinner had finished and nearby bars were closed, so we had to ask if we could get anything. This was probably one of the only bad moments staying there, we were told to go up to restaurant and select from 1 of 4 sandwiches available, there we found another Scottish couple in the same predicament. We waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches, in the meantime this strange quiet German couple came up after us, and were served a huge platter of food before us, even though only sandwiches were available? Strange, sandwiches were nice though but if you’re arriving on a Sunday, bring food. Also, dinner in the restaurant is €32 each person for the buffet, so I’d highly recommend walking 10 mins down the road to Shooko Beach Bar (I’ll be leaving a very good review there, the place is a god send). The hotel is built like a staircase, it goes up 5 floors, goes back, then up another 5 floors and the same again. The first elevator takes you to either the Wellness Centre on floor 5, or floor 6 to the pool bar and outside pool area, from there you need to walk up a set of stairs to rooms on the 6th floor or any higher up, you need an elevator again. Restaurant is 1 floor above reception. Wellness centre is great, you’re given a card which you hand to someone who gives you towels, after you’re done, give the towels back and you get your card back. Saunas, jacuzzi and indoor pools are great. Outdoor pool is very cold, although I can’t swim so idk if that’s normal but still. Rooms are amazing, big beds, TV has 96 channels but a lot of freeview stuff, nothing special. To cast from your phone, you need to connect to the TV Wi-Fi which will be: TV-(room number) and select source on the TV remote and switch to Bluetooth casting. That’s how we watched Netflix and stuff. Rooms have a toilet, 2 sinks, 3 towels each, a bath with a shower and a single huge waterfall shower, the cleaners go around during breakfast time (7-10:30). Balconies are great with sun beds, just lots of ants and the odd spider to watch out for. Ordering drinks, they’ll ask for you room number and a signature every single time, a bit pernickety and does add up, we tried to keep track of our bill and it ended up being double on check out, with a tourist tax fee added. Pain. Bus stops are nearby outside (at hotel nestos). To split or omis, it’s €1.50 each way. Download the Promet Split app and select a single ticket from Dugi Rat to Split or Omis and scan it on the bus. Easy peasy. Busses are every 30 mins. Not much else to add, hopefully this helps, the place was unreal though, we’d definitely go back in a heartbeat!

This is a slightly delayed review as we stayed here in the Summer and what a stay it was. Firstly the hotel is located in a perfect location it's a short walk outside of the lovely Omis and the walk is along a beach promenade with loads of resreraunt and drink places and also a short journey to split which is nice but I'd much rather be in Omis for my holiday Now the entrance and greetings were brilliant and extremely friendly and we were on the top floor which is up a few different lifts but worth the short walk. On entry the room was huge with everything and anything you need, it had a coffee machine drinks and welcome information. The room itself is decorated beautifully with a huge bathroom with great shower and a very comfortable bed then it comes to the balcony which was on the corner and gave amazing views of the sea and the land with 2 huge sunbeds honestly go for the top floor rooms and pat the small amount extra it is worth it. Breakfast is served in the resreraunt and was a nice selection of tasty food just what you needed. The pool area is big with a really nice pool and seating area which at night turns into entertainment with drinks and we had some nice singers most nights which differ from the usual nonsense you get at Hotels. The gym is compact but has what you need and then we come to the spa. The spa pool is huge and a great temperature with plenty of space although and never gets to busy. The sauna we tried both and preferred the old fashion sauna again perfect and the steam was great aswell just a lovely way to finish the day. We had some ice cream and coffee and various different drinks around the pool which was all of a very good quality. It really is a great hotel with everything and so much more and we ended up booking extra nights just because we enjoyed it so much you really can't go wrong here and yes it's a lovely hotel but the service even exceeds how nice the hotel is which takes alot to do.

An absolutely perfect place to stay with the most incredible views from our very modern, well equipped and beautifully presented room. It felt like more of a temporary home than a hotel! All the staff were extremely friendly, great communicators and more than happy to help. We were greeted warmly by reception and given all the necessary information in relation to the incredible breakfast and location of all facilities. The hotel is simply stunning, takes a while to figure out the layout but even the walk through the hotel is filled with relaxing music and smells and incredible views when possible. The gym, spa and wellness centre, breakfast, reception and linked beach area were all very well thought out and made the whole experience very relaxed and easy. We stayed on floor 11 and the coffee machine, shampoos, complimentary beach towels and robes to use throughout our stay made it very difficult to want to leave the hotel! The pool area was very well equipped for hot parts of the day and the relay system to order food and drinks worked very well. The breakfast had a great range to choose from and very generous hours to be open from. The restaurant was relaxed with another nice range of cheap and easy meals to more elegant and premium choices when you wanted a ‘bigger’ night out. We continually found ourselves in the evenings sat on the restaurant balcony evening the night sky. Excellent value and couldn’t imagine what more they could offer to be a 5-star hotel. If your looking at booking and think the pictures look great just wait until you get there! Not a whole lot to do around the hotel but lots of excursions and nearby towns to visit and we found the local bus service to be very easy to get to and from Split. Can certainly see ourselves returning, thank you for a glorious reading stay 😃

Wow... wow, wow, wow, wow! I literally am speechless as to how much I fell in love with this hotel and all of it's amazingly proficient and attentive staff! Like most who are looking at this place to stay in Croatia, I came across the abundance of glowing feedback and was pretty much sold instantly - but you always keep some reservation, just in case others standards aren't the same as your own. All I can say is that this hotel delivered on every single point that others had made, AND THEN SOME! The minute we got out of the transfer coach and saw the front of the hotel, I knew that all I had read was 100% accurate - the hotel is simply stunning. Absolutely gorgeous, and that's just Reception! Even the lifts had me in awe... lol, every little bit of attention to detail had been thought about which just made you feel you were in utter luxury. When we finally got to our room on the 14th floor and saw not only how utterly fantastic our room was, but the view of the coastline and the horizon... honestly, it was just an overwhelming feeling of pure elation and joy. And even that was an act of kindness from the hotel as it was my partners B'Day! Everything you could possibly want to enjoy your stay was simply at your fingertips... the stunning, outdoor, rooftop pool and bar (with jacuzzi) or your indoor wellness centre complete with pool, another jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and all other manner of spa treatments and facilities. They had a gym on site too which would have been great to use had we not indulged so much on their amazing cocktails lol... The food was absolutely incredible! We went half board, and the breakfast served each day was just so tasty and vast, you felt like royalty! Our plan was to eat out for dinner most nights but the quality of the food was so high, we were more than happy to eat there! And as a massive lover of good food lol, I'm not an easy cookie to impress! The aspect that stood out the most to us though, was just the level of genuine care and service that every single member of the team gave us during our stay. Honestly, you felt welcome and cared for the minute you stepped through their doors. Nothing wqs ever any trouble. Ever! I forgot a usb cable and they managed to lend me one for the week! Just as ine random example lol... one of the ladies featured in the photo, gave my partner a birthday cupcake just because! These might sound like tiny little things, but genuinely, everything that they did was done with love. The staff responsible for attending to our rooms daily were so meticulous and thorough - each day was back to it's original state - with everything polished and gleaming. I just want to call out a few individuals who we really loved and made us feel like part of the family - Vanna, you are as adorable in the inside as you are on the outside and we were so happy to meet you! Thank you SO much for saving Aidan and I that last piece of cake!!! We were so touched that you thought of us and so sorry we were unable to see you before we left! You were incredible and thank you so much for making us feel so at home- especially because you're fairly new! Credit to the hotel :) Eva, you took some great photos of us and were always so ready to smile and talk to us and assist us in any way, thank you so so much! Tea, you kept us going with your amazing Strawberry Caiparinhas and friendly attitude all the time! Thank you :) Lea, you are simply lovely and made dining with you guys such a pleasure - you give great hugs too! Ha, thank you :) To the gentlemen, young guy with dark hair, older guy with moustache, so sorry I didn't get your names but honestly we loved you guys too! Thank you for being so welcoming and making us feel at home! To Anna, Elena, Zvonomir and everyone else at front desk, thank you also for being such great people and being so lovely to us! To everyone else who I didnt get the names of, THANK YOU!!! :) Even though we travelled here out of season and much of Omis was closed down for their winter, this hotel is literally the jewel in the crown of their...

If it was possible to award 6 stars this hotel would fully deserve that accolade.|Before booking our group of four I must have read over 40 reviews all 5 Star! with exceptional comments.|All I can say is that having travelled throughout Europe we have never had the experience of staying in such a fabulous hotel.|Pre-Holiday|I had a number of questions directed to hotel before our holiday and they were all answered promptly in a friendly and professional manner -Great start|Arrival day|Such a warm and friendly welcome by the reception front line team. Very personable and understanding- Checked in in no time and seeing that one of our party was struggling with walking they came behind as went to the lifts taking all our luggage on a trolley up to our rooms.|Allocated rooms|We were in the mid section of this uniquely designed 3 tier hotel set into the hillside with spectacular views across the Adriatic to Brac Island from the balcony.|The rooms were exceptionally well appointed being long and spacious with a wide balcony which had two sunbeds and table and two easy chairs.|The beds were large and very comfortable whilst the bathrooms were designed to a very high standard with his and hers sinks/walk in shower ,separate WC and bath and beautifully tiled(Calcutta Gold). The body wash ,shampoo and bath lotion was sheer luxury.|Cleaning staff really efficient discreet and courteous and the hotel cleaning levels were top notch.|Plenty of hanging space /Tea-Coffee facilities and a simple safe design (no codes required) open and shut by the room card. Electronically operated curtains, lights and heating/air conditioning.|Built in 2017 the design and facilities cannot be faulted with all the mod cons of a top hotel. Ok the location is fairly remote which may explain the 4 * rating ( in reality it was 5 * ) but the all round experience offered more than compensates. |Facilities/Restaurants |All rooms are front facing with superb views the Dalmatian coast. especially from floor 6 to the very top. There is a roof top pool/jacuzzi along with sun beds and comfortable lounge areas to ensure you have the prime views of the spectacular sunrise and sunsets along the coast.|There is indoor spa facilities and an indoor pool to relax and spoil yourself along with outdoor exercise gym workout areas.|On the lower floor there is an outstanding Restaurant area where you take both breakfast and evening Buffet whilst higher up there is a Sunset restaurant were you can either enjoy a relaxing drink or sample the wide choice from the al la carte restaurant although most guests used the Plaza Restaurant which was exceptionally good value especially the evening Buffet offering|The choice at breakfast and the buffet could not be faulted(see pics) and the sheer range and quality and the preparation/cooking of the food was only of the highest standard. There was food choices to meet every ones needs. Fruit juices ,Cava tea/coffee along with fresh fruit, salad an a comprehensive offering of hot food along with outstanding local bread and special sweet cakes.|USP|Without a doubt what marks this Hotel out from other hotels is the people that form the staff team From managers to restaurant staff to the super friendly Front of House team to housekeeping and the maintenance team they are one BIG FAMILY. |You can sense the pride they have in delivering the best possible customer experience to their guests. In fact they could market training courses in Hotel management and hospitality to other organizations!|One example was that we enquired about local church services in Omis and they produced info sheets included English translations .|This how you deliver that exceptional level of service that warrants Trip Advisor 5 star reviews |ALL in ALL AN OUTSTANDING...

HONEST REVIEW & GUIDE TO STAYING IN HOTEL PLAZA DUCE!
