Restoran Rogač — Restaurant in Općina Dugi Rat

I recently visited Rogač Restaurant with my family for lunch. We arrived without a reservation, and although the restaurant was quite busy, the friendly staff made a great effort to find a table for the five of us. The service was impeccable, with exceptionally kind and professional staff who made us feel welcome from the start.

The food was outstanding, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. We enjoyed their well-known marende, which, being a Friday, featured a fish menu. I started with excellent cod and had chickpeas with shrimp as my main course – both dishes were perfectly prepared and full of flavor.

The lively atmosphere was complemented by seeing many familiar faces among the guests, a clear sign of the restaurant’s popularity and its well-deserved reputation among the locals, who always know where the best food can be found. Rogač is a place I will gladly return to and...

Really disappointed with the gourmet burger at Rogac. It was huge, but I can only describe it as similar quality meat to what you will find at an English football game.

I think the restaurant would benefit from having small descriptions underneath each item of food. I expected the burger to come with a bun, and was surprised to find cheese inside the meat patty itself.

Another example of this was the fries that I ordered turning out to be potato slices. Not a big deal, but not what I expected.

My partner on the other hand really enjoyed her shrimp risotto.

We've been staying in Split for almost a week, and all this time I wasn't able to find a restaurant that would serve grilled octopus. We visited Omis and decided to give restaurant Rogac a try. I was thrilled to find grilled octopus in the menu, plus other interesting dishes, and decently priced too. Needless to say, the octopus was superb, everything else we had to eat was perfect as well. The restaurant looks really nice and spotlessly clean (I haven't seen a place in Croatia so far where covid rules are respected so well as here).
