I recently had the pleasure of spending the Easter holiday with my family, including our beloved furry friend, at Hotel Malin in Malinska on the beautiful island of Krk. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic, and I'm thrilled to share why this hotel deserves such glowing praise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff, who made us feel right at home. Their hospitality and attentiveness truly set the tone for our entire stay. One of the highlights for us was the abundance of activities available for our kids. As pet owners, we greatly appreciated the hotel's pet-friendly policy. Our dog was not only welcomed with open arms but also treated with the same level of care and attention as any other guest. The food at the hotel was simply outstanding. Each meal was a culinary delight, with a diverse selection of dishes to suit every palate. Location-wise, Hotel Malin couldn't be more perfect. Situated near the beach, we enjoyed leisurely strolls along the shoreline and spent countless hours soaking up the sun. Yet despite its proximity to the beach, the hotel's serene atmosphere provided a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Additionally, the convenience of free parking outside the hotel made exploring the island a breeze. There is also paid garage. We appreciated not having to worry about parking fees or availability, allowing us to focus on making the most of our holiday. Overall, our stay at Hotel Malin was nothing short of memorable. From the friendly staff to the array of activities for kids, pet-friendly accommodations, excellent food, stunning sea views, and peaceful ambiance, closed swimming pool, outdoor pool with warm water, spa... every aspect exceeded our expectations. We're already planning our next visit and can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise on the island of Krk. Highly recommended for families and pet owners alike!

Be wary of their "budget" or "low cost" rooms. The descriptions on booking websites are misleading and in some aspects outright false. There was no sofa in our room, despite the fact that this was clearly stated during the booking process, and it wouldn't actually have had any space in the room. The pictures on the booking website were from a completely different room - a much bigger and more modern one. Overall, the condition of the room was below acceptable even for a 1-star hotel. I don't expect anything fancy when booking "low cost", but mold in the bathroom and fixtures falling apart are certainly not things I would expect anywhere, especially not when paying nearly 180,-€ per night, which gets you modern 5-star luxury in other places. Here, you get an uncomfortable room and a potential health hazard. I can't really say anything positive about the buffet either - the food is of the lowest quality imaginable (think frozen and microwaved vegetables, tasteless and oversalted rmain dishes, practically no main dishes for vegetarians, chewy meats swimming in old fat and oil) and the alcohol (which is probably provided on an all-you-can-drink basis to make you forget about the god awful taste of the food) is flat and/or watered down. I do have to end on a positive note about the front desk staff, who tried everything they could to resolve a tricky booking issue that I had with my travel agency, and the pool bar staff, who were extremely accommodating and professional.

We spent Monday to Friday in Hotel Malin and experienced good service, good atmosphere and location as well as nice rooms. We stayed in a newly renovated room 332 with a very nice view. We were able to change from floor 1 to floor 3 after asking in the reception, very helpful. The room was fresh, clean and worked well for our family of three (two adults and a young boy). The breakfast was good, above what I had expected, with sparkling wine available to add a bit of luxury feel. The dinner that was included was adequate, and although our son really enjoyed it, we as adults sometimes felt that it was lacking. However, we never left with less than a full stomach and with a glass of nice red wine added, it worked out well. The hotel is very near the beach, just a 2 minute stroll, and the sunbeds available to the guest at no extra cost are conveniently placed. You need to be quite early in place to get the ones in shadow, a tip. We often walked a short distance to a nearby bakery to get a light lunch, very convenient and cost effective. The location is near the airport, around 45 Eur for a taxi. IF you walk along the beach you will reach the center of Malinska in 10-15 minutes with a good number of restaurants available and a nice harbor. I can really recommend this hotel, specifically if you get the newer rooms that have been renovated.

The hotel rooms were a nice size and nice and the location was quiet. We have a dog and he felt very comfortable there and didn't really hear anything. The showers are tiny but everything works (including the air conditioning!) and it was a nice room overall. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. One very nice lady helped us to find dog beaches and dog walks for our pup and helped us by finding a place near the pool deck (dogs not allowed on the deck itself) that we could go and take turns at the pool. The food was edible though maybe not what I would consider amazing. We ate breakfast there every morning. I am vegetarian and there is plenty of food for vegetarians at breakfast (cheese, fruit, eggs, polenta, etc.) Dinner not so much. We paid for half board and only used it once for dinner. The dinner buffet was okay but you can find better food out on the town. The beach area is really nice. There are signs everywhere saying dogs not allowed, but no one minded at all that he was there. We took him to the restaurant, the beach bar and the umbrellas and every staff member was super friendly with him. The beach floor is rocky and sandy but no urchins in front of the hotel which is nice, because there are tons of them in other beaches nearby. There are fun things to do all around the hotel beach. We rented stand up paddle boards but there are also many other things to rent and do. The pool is also lovely. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, and a spa as well. All very nice and clean, etc. One weird moment with the beach staff- the guy in charge of umbrellas asked us for our key card for the hotel and demanded one with a room number on it (they are just plain white keys). We handed him our key and he said we could have made it in "any workshop" haha. Other than that the staff were super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place overall. We walked a lot along the beach fronts and this hotel definitely seemed to be the best...
