This hotel is definitely not worth 4 stars. I would say 2 stars and that is already quit something. |Luckily we we're on a road trip so we didn't have to stay more than 3 nights. |The hotel is very dark and ancient. As soon as we entered the hotel room the smell of the sewer reach you, and doesn't go away during the stay. The bathroom has a hole covered up with a bin bag, and the toiletries are minimalistic. |All the furniture is very old, and most of it is broken. The matrass is just as old as the hotel is, as soon as you lie on it you will almost hit the floor. There is a safe in the room but it cannot be used, you have to leave you're valuables at the reception. No explanation can be given for the safe being not in use. |The room is completely electrical driving, although the electric panel is hanging loose on the wall. With another nice hole behind it. Television is not working. There is a folder in the room telling you to inform the reception about any complains. In the same sentence they tell you that they have the right to kick you out and break all agreements with any agency as they wish.|There is a bunch of loose wires Lying on the balcony which is already very small for 2 persons. There is no table on it and the light is situated behind the door. On the balcony is also the airco unit which makes so much noise as well outside as inside the room that it is better not to use it at all. A row of tiles is missing on the balcony. So it creates a gutter where cockroaches are living in.|Cleaning staff only makes up your bed and supply you with new towels. They don't replace or clean the glasses that you have used.|Breakfast is to cry for. No varieties, just some small pieces of bread and 1 box with cheese/meat. No veggies at all and 1 bowl of fruit. There is 1 au bain marie which is so dirty that you don't consider to touch it at all. The coffee is quit ok, still the machine can use a clean. The coffee is running all over the machine. |And than at our last night we found cockroaches on our balcony. So we we're more than ready to leave. |We tried the restaurant just one time. Ordered a tuna salad but the tuna wasn't fresh at all. It was soure and made sick. |The view from the balcony over the bay is nice, but that doenst at up to all the flaws...
Read moreThis is a motorcycle friendly hotel, than you for letting me park on the patio! The location is fantastic and the people at Miramar are very nice. I personally wouldn't stay here again because everyone smokes and even though the "rooms" are non smoking the balcony / patio is open to smoke and is a very small space with big doors so you are essential smoking in the room or in my room (you can smell it as soon as you get off the elevator). I was also a little surprised at how old and musty everything is, the blankets on the bed made me not want to sleep under them, the mirrors and furniture had stains, the toilet was right up against the sink and finally the carpet is really old & gross. I had an allergy attack the first evening and slept on top of the bed and with a mask on my face. I kept the patio doors shut when I wasn't in the room or when smoke from other guests started coming in and this helped for my 2nd day, but I still slept with a mask. The mini split was used for heat and quickly heated the room as the night was cold (I suspect it would do the same for AC) however I had to manually turn it on and off because it wasn't keeping the temperature. The breakfast was not for me, I had coffee from the machine so that's was good enough and I tried the fresh bread on day 2 (no toaster) it was very fresh, so that was a nice surprise. The price was fine for all of the positives but I wouldn't stay here again. While everyone was nice and even thanked me for visiting, nobody asked me how my stay was, so I'm putting my feedback here. I know if they do a renovation prices will increase but some things like the carpet and the blankets from 1980 need to go. I've added pics of the best part of my...
Read moreThe Hotel is on a perfect location close to the beach, close to restaurants and shopping possibilities however it is not loud at all. There is everything available for young or old people or for families. The staff at the reception was very very friendly, explained how everything works and showed how to find the parking, explained what ticket to choose and offered to change coins if I have not enough. A very cheap parking possibility is max 50m from the Hotel right behind the beach and the daily ticket costs appr. 2,8€ which is nothing. The hotel room (we booked for 3 persons) was big and very nice and clean. The 3rd bed was not a "real" bed but very comfortable also for an adult. I read the reviews here before I booked the hotel and I was afraid regarding breakfast/dinner and AC. Somebody wrote that the AC went off (somebody switched it off during the day), I thought OMG the Hotel owner wants to save money and switches the AC off but this was not the case, the AC went off but the explanation is if you remove the key card from the card slot all the lamps and also the AC goes off in the room. We had appr. 34°C outside but the room was not hot (even without AC) as there was a shutter on the window. Regarding breakfast, I read it is not really good, it is true the selection of food is not big, but enough, if something is close to go empty the hotel staff fills it. The coffee is excellent. Regarding dinner, somebody wrote the staff "forces" the people to eat dinner in the Hotel, this is simply not true. You can eat there if you want, they have menu but also an a la carte restaurant. I really recommend the Hotel, we had an...
