We arrived in the Plitvice Lakes area fairly late in the day, and our GPS kept telling us that our hotel was in Dubrovnik (many hours to the south). Finally we stopped at a large camp ground with a big Restaurant. I went inside and asked for help. Turns out, yes, our reservation was for a place in Dubrovnik with a very similar name to a place near the lakes. A kind gentleman called our reservation and confirmed that was the situation. So - what to do? Turns out Anna, owner of House Perisic, works at the restaurant. She was located and yes, she had rooms available. She was very kind, gave us directions (around the corner - could actually see the house from the restaurant). We were met by her husband who enthusiastically showed us the rooms available for us to choose from. We agreed on a breakfast time. The room was meticulously clean and comfortable and we had a great night's rest - very quiet! A huge breakfast was ready when we came down and consisted of eggs, ham, bread, yogurt, tomatoes and peppers. Anna and her husband were very kind and hospitable and have a lovely and comfortable home. Thank you!! Our room, and I think the whole home, is smoke-free (we detected no odor). There is free WiFi, free parking, and the yard was very inviting, although we didn't stay long enough to check it out. Breakfast was in an enclosed porch where we could enjoy the birds and the view. It is about a 15 minute ride...

When we asked the daughter of the owner, she just dismissed it casually, saying that Expedia is wrong! But who provides them that information? I later read that there were other Tripadvisor reviewers with similar complaints. Clearly, this is not the first time. ||||2) They asked us to paid extra for the 3rd person in the room, even though we had poignantly booked at triple room. ||||The mother and father of the place were both very rude. They never greeted us upon our arrival but just started arguing with each other when we asked to check in (I don't think they were expecting us even though we had booked this beforehand). When we challenged them about the AC and the extra payment, we were shown to the door. I have NEVER been treated so rudely.||||So DONT' BOOK THIS PLACE unless you are prepared to be surprised, in a negative way. ||||All is not lost, we found a great place to...
Read moreWe booked a family room for 5 through Expedia (one king bed, two singles). However upon arrival we were told the room could only accommodate 4 adults even though we could have fit 5. We had to pay a bit extra and ended up getting two rooms instead. Our rooms were spacious and clean with private bathrooms so it worked out better.||||One of the owners did not speak English but the lady who worked there did. Price included free breakfast with beautiful views. We had eggs (scrambled and boiled), vegetables, juice, coffee/tea, bread with butter, jam, etc and fried donuts. The lady who made breakfast was very nice. We didn't use the kitchen for dinner as we went out. We also had free parking and access to a garden outside. The B&B is located close to Plitvice National Park so getting around wasn't an issue with a car. Overall it was a clean and...
