House Anamarija — Hotel in Općina Rakovica

Very easy to find. On Route 1 from Zagreb, just past road-side sign for Selište Drežnicko drive by Restoran and Hotel Degenija (on right) and a further 200m on right is House Anamarija. Ample parking. Very reasonable prices (€80 for 2 nights at time of writing).||There is a small grocery shop opposite and larger well stocked 'M' mini-supermarket about 250m away on the left as you head towards The Lakes.||There are just 4 rooms on the 1st floor (the ground floor is Private) clustered around a landing and communal fridge. All rooms have en-suite shower and wc.||The 2 front rooms are larger than the 2 rear rooms and also have balconies. The 2 back rooms do not. ||However as the house is 50 metres away from the main access road to Plitvice Lakes National Park from the north, the benefits of the balconies are doubtful. We had a room at the back and slept very well.||If you want morning coffee or tea (we're zombies without morning coffee) the proprietor will provide cups and boiling water but only after you get up, go down and knock on the ground-floor balcony's door.||Caffe Plum, 5 minutes walk (2 minutes by car) starts serving breakfast at 07.00 and will provide a pack lunch for 50 kuna.||Payment is CASH ONLY (Euros...

This place is very very good. If you were in the Park and you want a relax, come HERE. The rooms are very clean, normal, no luxury, with free SAT TV in Astra 19.2 SAT (some Spanish channels, some UK, many Germans and some French channels). The internet is fast enough, and you have a lot of pillows and sheets. The view from the terrace is amazing. The house has a big parking in front, my Motorhome was perfectly there. Some restaurant and small market is close to the house, you can go walking and the bistro next to the house is amazing. 100%...

The family welcomed us and gave us very good advice for the parks and also the restaurant 5 minutes away.||The room is clean, and as a terrasse and a wonderful view on the countryside (at least the room we had).||No problem to park the car. And you are just 10-15 min drive to the 1st entrance of the national park, so it is ideally located. |||| NB : Maybe the bed was a bit small if you are over 1m80, as your feet are blocked...
