Truly outstanding. Rarely does an accomodation live up to such high reviews but in my opinion the Kastel Ismaeli easily meets and exceeds expectations. From the speedy communications and collection by car from the ferry, the host and his wonderful staff, Natalie and Luka went out of their way to make our stay memorable.|The accomodation is very modern, contemporary and spotlessly clean. All the furniture and fittings are high quality and the superking size bed (which is also longer than normal), was very comfortable. The owner has obviously put tremendous thought, effort and investment to achieve such a finish. Although there is not a balcony, this is not an issue as the windows are large and open fully for a perfect view of the harbour and beyond. Perfect to sit with a coffee or glass of wine, to soak up the amazing views. What a little gem these rooms are on the island of Korcula, in Vela Luka. Sparkling clean, modern rooms looking out over the marina. Plenty of trails and places to explore by bike and much less busy than Korcula Town on the east of the island. Given the prime location on the marina there is a little noise from the road but nothing that disrupts from the wonderful feel of this place. Nevenko was exceptionally hospitable and offered to pick us up from the ferry port in Korcula town for half the price of a taxi and also dropped us off at the port in Vela Luka to catch an early ferry to Hvar. Amazing Room, big comfortable luxurious and right in the center of the beautiful harbor. Lovely accommodations and staff. The breakfast had the best scrambled eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, and coffee was out of this world. No wonder everyone goes out for a morning coffee. Plus our view was stunning. Make sure to hit Bata in the center for dinner with real homemade squid ink pasta. Take a water taxi to an private beach with beds and cabanas, fresh fish, wine and tge most beautiful views.
