Pansion & Restaurant Alen - Dugi otok — Hotel in undefined

Very bad experience, we do not recommend this pansion! We didn't receive any invoice or recipe when we paid for the room. They didn't give us a recipe when we paid the dinner! On our second day, they told us that we have to pay for the air condition - 5 eur per day, we said no, but at the same night we turn on the air conditioner at almost midnight cause in the room is very hot and full of mosquitos, and impossible to sleep with an open door! So, the householder came to knock on our door (at midnight!) to ask about the air condition.. We were planing to pay for this on the morning. In the restaurant, we waited for more than an hour for one portion of meat. We ordered a tomato salad, and it came one chopped tomato, we paid 2 eur for it.. Small portion, no standard followed.. Very, very disappointed. This is our third day morning and we are planning to leave if they give us the rest of the money back for the room. These people are looking at us like a walking...

SLO: Kar nas je najbolj pritegnilo, je da se cela družina predano in delovno posveča poskrbeti najbolje, kar je možno za vsakega gosta. Apartmaji in sobe so lepo urejene in čiste, preprosto, pristno in skrbno opremljene ( zelo kvalitetne postelje!). Prečudovit pogled iz terase Alenove restavracije, ki jo krasi 400 let stara oljka, na celoten zaliv, ti umiri dušo in telo. Daleč stran od mestnega vrveža smo našli prenočišče z restavracijo, kjer si lahko privoščimo kvalitetno namestitev in dobro hrano, še posebej takrat, ko želimo nekaj svežega iz morja. Očaralo nas je petje in neizmerna dobra volja lastnika Alena, ko se napoti proti kuhinji in začne kuhati za goste.... Z dobro voljo in svojim dolgoletnimi otoškimi izkušnjami lova in priprave rib, pripravi okusne jedi kot so ribe s krompirjem in blitvico, škampi na buzaro, črno rižoto ..., nadvse okusno. Mmmmm... Na otoku imajo svoja polja in si preko zime in pomladi pridelajo tudi svoj krompir in zelenjavo. Na terasi se srečaš z gosti, ki prihajajo v pension Alen že več kot 20 let, kar je vsekakor referenca za Alena. Žal pa se tu in tam najdejo tudi gosti, ki s svojim obnašanjem ne sodijo v to idilo, saj jim nikoli ni nič prav, verjetno jim je to slog življenja. Ene takih smo imeli v smeni žal tudi mi. Ampak tudi s takimi pri družini Škara lepo opravijo. Definitivno se bomo sem še vračali!

p.s. Tisti, ki iščete industrijsko hrano, gužvo, hrup in vsa mogoča »pomagala« za preživljanje dopusta, prosim iščite dalje.

ANG: What the most attracted us was that the whole family is dedicated and hardworking to take care for each guest the best possible. Apartments and rooms are nicely decorated and clean, simple, authentic and carefully furnished. A beautiful view from the terrace of Allen's restaurant, adorned with a 400- years old olive tree, on the entire bay, calms your soul and body. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the city we found accommodation with a restaurant where we can get good quality accommodation and food, especially when we want something fresh from the sea. We were enchanted by the singing and the good will of the owner Alen, when he heads to the kitchen and starts cooking for the guests .... fishs, schrimphs on »buzara«, black risotto ..., extremely tasty. Mmmmm ... They have their own fields on the island and they also grow their own potatoes and vegetables over the winter and spring. On the terrace you meet guests who have been coming to Pension Alen for more than 20 years, which is definitely a reference for Alen. Unfortunately, time to time are also guests who do not belong to this nice place on earth with their behavior, because nothing is good enought for them, it is probably their lifestyle. Unfortunately, we also had one of these ... But at Škara family also do well with such a people. We will definitely be coming...

Service (-1) star-from day 1 till last day it felt like you owed them something. Food - worst I had in Croatia (and I have been to Makarska, Split, Rieka, Crikvenica); rooms.. I would not bother to comment even.. because this was expected, to some extent. If you want to spend a lot of money for 1 star bed and shower.. this is the place. Do not forget that everything is done "under the table" and in case you do not beg them for the reciept of the payments you make, you will not receive one. Of course, if you ask for it, you risk to not be even greeted for the rest of your stay.. simple basic common sense. Thanks God it was not my first stay in Croatia, otherwise, I would have never came back and I would have thought that Croatians are very...
