Wow, talk about hospitality. What a wonderful stay we had with Jure and his lovely wife Marianna in May 2019. Jure was so kind and welcoming that we instantly felt comfortable, truly welcome and at home. He was so helpful and truly made it possible for LuAnn to connect with her roots and have a wonderful experience in the quaint town of Luca. This charming little town nestled on an absolutely pretty horseshoe shaped bay was the birthplace of her grandfather Frank. Jure even took the time to show LuAnn the house where her grandfather grew up before leaving for America. That was a fantastic experience for both of us and truly the kindest of gestures. Hospitality and genuine kindness like this are a rare pleasure nowadays. ||||We were very pleased with our room, which was clean, comfortable and looked out to a pretty view of the bay. So tranquil standing outside on the deck. We arrived late but Jure still took the time to meet us on the road into town and get us to his house. He took the time to chat with us as we listened to the sounds of nightingales singing in the surrounding woods. How could you not have a smile on your face when unwinding like this, all while sharing a glass of wine. He gave us a map of the island, which he truly loves, and pointed out the key features that should be on your visitor to do list. We definitely enjoyed our sightseeing and adventures into her heritage. Breakfast was certainly an option worth adding, and we enjoyed eating on the outside deck while enjoying the peace, quiet and great view. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!! Without a doubt!!!! Don’t hesitate for a minute to stay here. You won’t be disappointed. ||||Thank you Jure for being so kind and making our trip so special. Your kindness made some wonderful memories for us.||||Havala!!!||||Your friends,...

At Picic we benefited so much from Jure's help and suggestions for how to plan our time. He recommended fantastic places to go see slightly off the beaten path (the tourist map is so limited and missing so much good stuff) as well as helped set us up with a kayak for a day kayaking trip. ||We highly recommend kayaking down to the Kornati islands - fantastic trip, one of our fav kayak trips ever. Also, check with Jure about any hiking etc. - not all the trails on our trail map were maintained, but there are more than what is on the tourist map.||The place itself was clean, although as others noted definitely not modern. We found it had everything essential though for a vacation place. Also, we had breakfast one day at the place and it was good and reasonably priced. I tried some figs and berries wed seen locals eating and wondered about, so that was cool.||One thing that confused us coming from the US to Croatia was the terms for different places to stay and what to bring. Here they have bath towels but you should bring shampoo etc. If you don't have them there is a market a 5 min walk away where you...
