We stayed here for 4 days with an age range from 9 to 79 so I think we gave this hotel a good work out. I will section this review to make it fairer and more useful to fellow travelers.||Location - Perfect. Near to shops and pubs and clubs however we were not bothered by the noise. The view is also not bad across the river and even some nesting Cranes.||Hotel in General - Been updated recently which it badly needed however it just needs a bit of Polish now. Lift very small and music from it not welcome at 2am when it can be heard from your room. ||Rooms - These are small. I have stayed in Hong Kong a lot where you expect a small room however these are smaller. Beds very comfortable so no complaints there and it was all clean and looked after. Now to the Bathroom. These need to be started again. I would love to see the workmen that fitted these out. No decent shower, just a shower head fitted 4 feet up the wall in the bath. You cannot have a shower standing up. Then you go to the sink and the mirror has been fitted with a large gap from the sink. If you are 5 feet tall you will not see your face in this mirror. So we are looking at a very tall person fitting the mirrors and a very short one on the showers. A decent shower is a must for most so this needs to be sorted out. ||Staff - AMAZING. We spoke with 3 female members of staff on reception and 1 in the restaurant and 1 in the bar area. All were excellent. They all looked like they were enjoying their job and were always smiling and very helpful. I really cannot praise them enough. ||Breakfast - This also needs some work. I am all for a continental breakfast wherever that may be however. Lets have some fruit juice, please. Also the trays of cold meat were bought out day after day without any attention being paid to them. They were starting to curl at the edges after 3 days and the lettuce added for presentation looked very tired. The fruit on offer needed some attention also. On our first day there was no fruit salad as such but lots of apples, oranges and lemons on offer. After 3 days there was just some battered looking apples and a lot of lemons left. Not sure what I was supposed to do with...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. When you first see it it seems bad, you might be suspicious, but I don't have any complaints. Women on the reception were very kind, they told us what events are in the city, explained everything in the hotel with a smile on their face. The breakfast was also very good, there is something for everyone, it is like mixture of traditional and international cuisine. In the bathroom you even get a little sewing set and matches, which is surprising. There is a TV in every room, everything was clean. If you worry about the parking lot, there is a big parking lot in front of the hotel and on the reception you are given a paper where it says you are the hotel guest. We thought that we should return that paper but woman on the reception told us to keep it for the next time when we find ourselves in Vinkovci. So, the quality is...
Read moreIt is overall an excellent hotel. The building looks well-built, and there is a nice garden at the front, with the lavender and roses welcoming the guests. There are two small elevators. The room is quite small but nice. There is a stained glass door in the room to separate the areas between the bed and bathroom/closet. It is not quite necessary but looks nice. What's unique about this hotel is its thoughtfulness. The hotel provides two small bottles of mineral water, a small packet of short cake, a sewing kit and beauty kits in the bathroom, which is rare for hotels in eastern Europe. The breakfast buffet is nice. I enjoyed the bacon, almond nuts, the variety of fruits and dried fruits it offers. There is a small shopping center on the same street, within 10 minutes of walking distance, where one can find DM, Kenzom (supermarket), TEDi, and many inexpensive...
