Pleasant surprise! Kind, nice, affable and affordable surprise! A friend and I knocked (OK, called their cell phone) at 10 PM and two minutes later we were in Vila Vanda. All formalities were done in a blink of an eye which was relief after five day, 400 km (approx. 250 mi) bicycle trip, and after friend and I found there's Hostel which cuts it's booking at 7 PM even when empty. Nice room (even the bed mattress was like home) and kind personel which hooked me with an offer of breakfast starting before 7 AM (because we are cyclist and early start may be important). This is a clean, comfortable, and friendly family-owned place. I am fully enjoying the stay here having met the owners and cleaning lady, waiter and the cook. The food is excellent, delicious and made from fresh products. I especially like that there is a fruit tray always available. People here are very friendly and hospitable and will help you/get you anything you need from washing laundry to staying open late to make us meals, etc. If you are in Vukovar you should stay here!
