Omar contacted us immediately once we had booked the room at the farmhouse which was very professional and put us at ease considering we had to travel from Lapta all the way to Karpaz. We arrived at a beautiful, secluded and typically Cypriot style house which had been converted to a number of en suite rooms, all of which were extremely clean and welcoming with beer, water and soda drinks already waiting for us in the fridge.||Omar greeted us straight away with a smile and a hello. He showed us to out room and we settled in. Omar speaks very little english but with a great internet and wifi connection we spoke for ages using google translate. We ate in a courtyard garden and he cooked us a fantastic vegetarian diner using vegetables from his own garden including aubergines and courgettes. ||The room was air conditioned, we got a really good nights sleep and awoke in plenty of time for a really nice, traditional Cypriot breakfast and coffee.||Omar is doing good business and as a result is constructing 5 new rooms (almost like glamping pods) but much bigger and with ensuite facilities in each one. ||I highly recommend the farm hotel in Karpaz if you want great food, a good room and an inviting and very welcome host.||Nice one Omar.....

He had to go through his messages to locate it. Then there was no towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap (as regular hotels provide). I ask him and he gave me just the towels. On the breakfast, there is no open buffet and he prepared a Turkish breakfast which was good but small portion. We asked for a extra bottle of water and he later charged for it at the check out (strange once there was no water fountain for the breakfast). Later on organizing the things to leave we received a message: "please pay" which was rude. The last, which was the weirdest situation is that during breakfast we asked for any fruit he would have and he said he didn't have any. During the check out, someone came and they were eating watermelon. I am giving 1 start, for the bad reception and the lie. Totally unprepared to receive international guests. I advise you to go to some other hotel that is...
Read moreHorrible experience. We booked it in three families of 3 people each, for 2 nights, therefore quite a profit for the host. Host not present at arrival, girl at the guesthouse not talking a word of English. Windows not closing well; fridge and all toilet appliances rosted; no bed sheets; broken showers. No warm water. Wifi not reaching the rooms. Poor breakfast. Images on tripadvisor not matching the reality. When the owner came the next morning, he promised to change the gas tanks, to repair the showers, and to offer a small discount for the diturbance. In the evening nothing was repaired, and the owner no where to be seen. One family decided to book another room in another guesthouse. The day after the owner told us we had broken the shower, and treathened us to call the police if we had said anything bad about the place....
