Awe-inspiring above-and-beyond castle-like apartment!
We used Champagne and Merlot apartments and they really exceeded our expectations - the rooms were designed with so much passion & attention to detail that once we woke up, we felt like we're in a castle and we could marvel at each element of the room as if we were observing a beautiful natural landscape. It's one thing to be inspired by the pictures, but entirely another to experience being there. The apartment was very clean & the furniture is not just an eye-candy - the chairs & bed were super comfortable and using the spacious Champagne room shower felt really great. The private terrace felt so good to relax in the evening. We loved the breakfast were served the day before in the fridge, so we could both enjoy the apartment more and eat early in case we had a morning trip or return flight. The amazing apartment was complemented by very engaged & helpful staff, we were in constant contact and could ask for different cleaning times & help with local restaurants booking. The village has beautiful stone streets & buildings and you can find terrific local food with great service in the nearby villages (you must try Kamares tavern in Lofou!). The apartments are a short drive away from Trodoos mountains and we used it to drive to Avakas Gorge. Overall - being there you can clearly feel the passion that went into the design of the apartments & the hotel provides an above-and-beyond experience. Very highly recommended!
A small heads up as well - the staff calls to give you heads up, but getting there requires a rented car & confident driver. The streets in the city are narrow and depending on your arrival direction (we recommend driving from North) the Google Maps can give you a really hard uphill narrow city road to get there. So if you're driving from South and the road in Vouni starts to look impossible, just call the staff to help you out or analyze getting there from other direction on the map and things will be fine. After the first time we preferred to use public parking near wider road to spend less time maneuvering in the village and a short walk to our...
Read moreWe were greeted by a very nice, I assume Indian/Bangladesh man that was on duty. Very polite. He treated us to a welcome glass of Comandaria. He escortrd us to our suite and showed us around. We wanted to go have drinks at the wine bar but we were told because it was weekday they close at 7pm ( It was already 6:40). We went to our room and ordered a large cheese/meat platter and 2 more glasses of Comandaria. The fruit platter was great! (€40) I then asked for a champagne bucket with ice for champagne I had brought with us. Very politely he told me there was a €15 surcharge for bottles brought from outside. NO WHERE ON THEIR SITE DOES IT MENTION THIS. ( very bad business practices). Hence why I gave 4 stars!|I said bring it...what could we do? Drink it warm??|The room was village style ( but luxury), very warm. We also had a fire place with some free wood. €10 for extra wood. Nice large jacuzzi tub, bathrobes, slippers, Apivita amenities, comfortable bed, TV with Netflix. We had a very lovely, relaxing night. |Now we come to breakfast, we checked off what we wanted during our check-in and was served in our room at the time we designated. I picked fried eggs, my husband scrambled. We got 1 fried, 1 scrambled ( 2 us what they should be serving), toast, cold cuts & cheese, yogurt with honey & walnuts and 2 croissants that I could have broken a window with! ( REALLY HARD).|If not for the surcharge for the ice bucketand the mediocre breakfast, I could have given 5 stars. |Lovey staff, nice...
Read moreMust visit in Cyprus! One of the best places we've been. Mini boutique hotel with 3 rooms, in the very photogenic mountain village of Vuoni. Everything in the hotel is thought out to the smallest detail, authentic, but at the same time exquisite design, beauty in every detail, fresh flowers on a welcome card, wine and fruits as a compliment, way of serving breakfast. Every room is amazing, we stayed in the room "Champagne". Xenia, the manager of the hotel, also gave us a short tour around the hotel and we fell in love with the "Shiraz" room, with a stunning romantic jacuzzi. We plan to come back for this room in the fall for a few days when it will be already possible to light the fireplace and enjoy a glass of red wine while the fire crackles. Xenia is an amazing person who welcomes every guest like a family and is ready to do everything possible for you to make your experience unforgettable. Xenia helped me organize a surprise for my fiance's birthday. Bought me muffins and candles, and in our absence arranged a romantic dinner in the room with candles, wine, and snacks platter ordered by me in their wine bar. The wine bar deserves a special mention, with an excellent wine selection and fine cuisine. A large platter we had, was really big and very varied.
5 out of 5 for the hotel and 10 out of 5 for Xenia and her guest-oriented approach. We're looking forward to the...
