Hotel Elegance — Hotel in okres Šumperk

Hotel Elegance is probably the best hotel in the north-moravian town Šumperk. I spent here one night in November 2013. It was not such easy to find the hotel because my car-navigation couldn't find it strictly. The hotel is part of centre Maják, so I recommend to follow the signs to Maják in the streets. It is situated in the town centre - only a few steps from the main square. In front of the hotel is the not-secured parking lot - you will get the parking card in hotel reception. The receptionist was kind and helpfull. Check-in was fast, to my room in the 2nd floor I got by elevator. All common spaces of the hotel as well as the room were perfectly clean and with nice design.||||The room was large and cosy, modern equiped - see photos. The room had nice design and was very well equiped - large flat TV with international SAT programms, mini-bar, modern bath-room with shower, hair-dryer, large and comfortable bed. Overall very good - I could sleep here comfortly - also thanks to air-condition - really comfortably. It fully correspond to 4* level and is above czech average.||||In restaurant I was also satisfed. Cuisine - czech and international - was very good and tasty, very good was also beer. The staff here was also kind, but little bit slow. Prices fair.||||The hotel is directly connected to public swimming-pool and wellness. Access is included. That's a pitty that I couldn't try it because in the evening the swimming-pool is closing too early and in the morning it was closed, because there is swimming course for babies.||||Overall I was satisfed with the stay in this hotel. I am convinced that you can't find better accomodation in Šumperk. It was maybe even slightly more comfortable than in any hotels of big-chains in Czech Republic what was for me kind surprise. I visit my little daughter several times a year and she wanted to go to the sports centre there. SO, I decided to try the hotel attached as I read about the great sports facilities, lively bar and restaurant. My partner came with me this time so trying the new hotel was a change for me. It was very plush and clean, although I didn't see any other guests while I was there at all. I'm sure it's buzzing in high season. My partner and I had dinner there in the evening and it was really lovely, great wine. The food was really good. The attached bar was a real eye-opener. We couldn't hear anything from outside but once inside the place was packed with young, student types and we (by chance) discovered the best bar in Sumperk! I mostly travel on my own and don't go out in the evening, so it was really cool to find this bar. I will book again when I go with my partner. I usually stay at the Grand when I am on my own as they let me check out much later with no charge, which this hotel didn't do. I had to pay quite a bit extra to check -out at 4pm. I need the room in case it's raining/cold etc, so my daughter and I can just stay in. I stayed here with my sister for a long weekend and we loved it. We booked a special offer from this hotel which included a number of papering treatments and usage of many sports faciloities, conveniently located in the hotel. The hotel complex also hosts restaurant, night club, pub, swimming pool, fitness, games room and much more. ||||The building looks like a communist-era building newly renovated and from the inside the rooms are nicely done-up in modern decor, which is also the case with the sport / relaxation amenities.||||The number of rooms is perhaps too low for the extensive services provided in the hotel but it works well for guests as the atmosphere was nice, relaxed and friendly.||||They also provide free internet, which was very convenient for us as we had a laptop.
