I was visiting with my mum and my baby-boy for a weekend in the high season (August). The BB is located by a swimming pool and a football pitch but is quiet at nights (after 11 pm, when the restaurant closes). It has its own restaurant attached where they serve very good meals. I was happy with the location and the meals (we dined in and a very good breakfast was included in the price of the room) and appreciated the kid-friendliness of the place - there is a playground outside and a children´s corner inside the restaurant. However - and this is the reason why I give only 3 stars: both the playground and the corner include broken toys which should be replaced for the safety of the children the rooms were not cleaned well, we had a dirty sock and a toilet-paper-roll under our bed, the carpet was filled with crumbs and dust, and my baby found several balls of peanuts in wasabi under the bedside table (I would also recommend changing some of the old furniture; e.g. the extra beds) we were not given any bathroom towels: the cleaning lady upon our arrival apologized that laundry was not delivered; we were not given any apology by the owner or the manager, let alone a compensation; as we came without towels (which we did say to the cleaning lady, hoping that the problem thus would be solved somehow by the hotel), we had to go and buy towels in the town and use them unwashed - just as you buy them the check-in only starts at 3 pm which is unsually late; also the breakfasts do not begin before 8 am (also quite late for those who wish to set off early) the staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were obviously overworked (though in general helpful and kind); I would recommend the owner to employ more staff at least on weekends in...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It is absolutely not worth the 4 stars it claims to have. Mold in the bathroom The bathroom ceiling had visible mold, which is completely unacceptable and unhygienic for any hotel, let alone one advertised as 4 stars. It made the whole experience feel dirty and unpleasant. Hot water problems After midnight, the hot water is turned off, leaving guests with no option but to endure cold showers. This is unacceptable and not something you expect in even a budget hotel. Terrible extra bed The third bed in the room was just a hard, uncomfortable sofa. It was impossible to sleep on it properly, and it felt like they didn’t care about the comfort of their guests. Old and outdated interior The entire hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The furniture is old, the decor is outdated, and it feels like nothing has been upgraded in decades.Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was depressing. The lobby and hallways were poorly lit, adding to the sense that the hotel had seen better days a long time ago. The staff, while polite, seemed indifferent to the issues we raised and offered no solutions. For the price we paid, this experience was absolutely not worth it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are far better options available in the same price range. Save your money and...
Read moreA comfy double room for less than 30 Euro including breakfast and parking, that was the reason why I booked this place last-minute while passing by. ||After a lot of Moravian wine and 'sightseeing' accross the different wine cellars, we decided to get some sleep.||||And Formanka's beds are amazing for that! Bouncy (not the ragular hard mattress you get in Czech), soft, super pillows.. I loved it! The room is nice, with a minibar and flatscreen.||The bathroom has the looks of social amenities from a Siberian work camp, but for a 1-night stay it was OK.||Breakfast wasn't served half an hour before 'breakfast end', which was quite a bugger.. but the waitress/receptionist gave the cook a hollar to at least get me some eggs and pastries.||||The restaurant that is in the same building serves traditional Czech dishes, average at 4 Euro's per dish. Soft drinks are about 1,50 Euro.||||Overall, the place is worth the stay as the value for money...
