Hotel Vista — Hotel in okres Brno-město

I was here with friend for a convention and the hotel wasnt that great.. Its nice that there is Billa nearby but that is for the location otherwise you have to go by tram to other places. The room felt bit not great. The window curtain was pretty dirty and felt disgusting. The bathroom was okay but the shower was old and that old way of shower doors not good. Bedmattress was large enough and had at least 18cm but my bed sheets were damaged and ripped at some parts. Also there was pretty big bug on saturday in our room. Soundproofing during night and in morning pretty bad, you could hear people and staff in the hallway. And the TV wasnt smart at all, remote dirty so dont expect to watch Netflix, Disney+, etc.. on it. Also you dont get a keycard for your door like in other already modern hotels, here you get a heavy key like in early 2000's which gets pretty annoying to carry around since its so heavy. The breakfast selection was a lot disappointing from the other hotels I've been to.. there was a little of stuff to choose from and nothing really special in this hotel. I only saw croissants on saturday and tried those, they were not great, tasted like yesterdays, they havent been there on sunday morning. Also the big issue with breakfast is that it gets full pretty fast and they dont have enough space for this amount of people that been there when we visited. The second morning we barely got to choose something to eat and drink cause of the amount of people that been there and then we had to sit with some stranger at a table, terrible, pretty uncomfortable. Staff was just walking around there, mainly cleaning the tables after people, i didnt get the feeling they actually cared about the other people who had no where to sit. I would recommend trying some other hotel that has some better capacity for breakfasts and has actually better breakfast items to choose from and also has cleaner...

I put 2 stars but I'd like to put more! I booked for 3 nights with a group of colleagues.  positive things: breakfast rich, varied and with fresh food, both sweet and savoury.  for this, 5 stars and more! Well connected by tram in the nearby with downtown and close to highway exit too. Quiet zone. Playing area for children in the restaurant.  Very nice aquarium!

Neither positive nor negative things: parking has a barrier that is always opened at the entrance and an automatic one at the exit.  no control of who can park and not even video surveillance (I have not seen it). the refrigerator is empty.  I usually never take anything, but at least a courtesy bottle of water would have been nice there are no electronic keys.

negative things: excessive heating and high temperature even if switched off.  probably the insulation of the building is malfunctioning.  we slept with the window open because we can't breathe (my colleagues did the same). there are no electrical sockets near the bed, but only in the bathroom and in a corner of the room. in 3 nights nobody ever cleaned the room nor refurnished with amenities. Luckily there are soap bottles inside the shower and on the lavatory. there is a kettle in the room so I made a coffee the first morning.  In the evening the cup had not been changed and so on the following days and it was not replenished with Nescafe and tea bags which had run out.  The same in my colleagues' rooms...

the funny thing is that you see the cleaning staff with the trolley at all hours.....

the pillows are too thick and the duvet sack was torn in one corner. Maybe consider a thinner pillow too it'd sound great. Anyway  this hotel has potential that could be put to better use.  definitely to improve the cleaning in the room and if possible...

A horrible experience, I started my reservation, they gave me my hotel room (418) I went out to eat with my family, I left my bag with all my documents, cards, my cell phone (unlocked) and the American passports of my entire family (3 people) when I returned from dinner and tried to enter my room I could not, the card was blocked, and the room (with all my documentation, bag, money and cell phone) was inside the room, there was a person inside with their children, I went down to reception and tried to see what was happening, and it turns out that they gave them my room, to "remedy" it they gave me another room since the room I had now was a disaster, now I am in another room with the fear that these people would take photos of my important documents (American passports, residence cards, social security) and the only thing I received was an im sorry from the reception, I am really very upset about that, so if you come to this hotel do not leave anything of value in your room to avoid...
