We were visiting Czech as we were competing in the World Championships for Knife and Axe throwing. The area/town was a pretty poor area but very friendly and clean enough. They seemed to be putting a bit of money into the area while we were there. Hotel was very friendly and accommodating, although only the manger spoke a little English, but we were the foreigner in their country! Food was honest family type food, tasty and good value. Rýmařov [Römerstadt] is often called the Gate to the Jeseníky Mountains. Harsh climate and former German 'Sudetenlad' Spirit gives this region undisputably mysterious but naturaly beautiful look. Stay for few days, visit the Mountains, drink mineral (stiky but healthy) water in Karlova Studánka and breeth the cleanest air in Central Europe (former president Václav Havel, sick with lungs used to come here too). The hotel has a great location. We stayed on the 2nd floor (only stairs available) in the room under the roof. It has a roof window, TV and a bathroom with a bathtub. We liked the carpet, comfortable beds and the efficient heating both in the bathroom and bedroom. The room was really quiet, even though the restaurant/bar was busy til the night.
