Hotel Figura — Hotel in okres Bruntál

First time here for winter ski holidays with my sons kids garden . The area all around is magnificent. I think we could not find a better area for amature skiers, like us. My sons ski teachers Thomas, Elishka and their friends were amazing. Patient and kind. On the down side accommodation was quite basic however we could have our dog with us. The service at the restaurant, and the prices were not so good. They did not accept card payments and this was diffecukt for us because we did not know it in advance and we did not have enough cash. However during our last night we met Thomas and his wife Dominica members of Figurova family. And they where amazing :-). Really nice and friendly people. We had a few drinks together and had a good laugh. They even offered to give us a lift to Bruntal in order to get our train. At the end of the day what matters is people and the relationships we build. All the rest are secondary. For that I give 5 stars for the hospitality. And we will definately come back...

In the hotel we only spent one night during hiking in Jeseniky Mountains. The hotel offers affordable accommodation, rooms are simply furnished, clean and sufficient for overnight accommodation. The interior of the hotel would deserve a renovation, both in the rooms and the restaurant can be seen worn older equipment. Selection of dishes at the restaurant is not too extensive, but the food is delicious, at least the meals we had for dinner. Breakfast is served with a choice of six types, substantial and delicious as well. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel location, right beneath the Petrovy kameny Mountain, is very convenient for hikers and in winter for skiers since lifts and slopes are very near the hotel. We stayed here in the period between Christmas and new year. Hotel is situated directly on the middle grade Piste. Rooms are adequately furnished for a very reasonable price. We got half board , with breakfast buffet and evening meal including a great Sylvester ( New Year's). Buffet and meal for 80,- Euros per night. Excellent value for money. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly even though English and German was not widely spoken. Mr. Figura and his team bent over backwards to get my car started again after problems with a cold flat battery. His Daughter Renata, spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful in organising everything for her guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, the food was good and the alcohol extremely cheap for us westerners. I can only recommend it with full marks. Thanks...
