To carry one's luggage to levels up at first and then down at departure is not easy. In July the room is at 'human boiling point' as there is no air conditioning. The bathroom would 'win a price' for being super small. The carpet is heavily stained and would need to be replaced urgently, ie. right now. The bed linen are of synthetic fibers and found it extremely difficult to sleep in.||I would have had to pay a higher asking price if I had not calculated it myself which is not that easy as the quoted price is in Euros and asking price in Kroner. Could have been a simple miscalculation by the Manager/Owner.....||The room had 3 Beds, obviously intended for 3 travelers, for me wasted space.||As there is a restaurant on Ground level, the noise level is fairly high until midnight. ||The surrounding woods allow some buffering of Metropolitan City noise levels.||The address shown by booking.com lead my car navigation system to a different street and house. Had to use google to find Hotel U Kaple at the end and after considerable delay and frustration.||Caution, the menu displayed shows prices considerably lower.||The Hotel is some 3 km from the town center and 3.6 km to the station and is some 50 m elevated. So have your hiking boots ready. Breakfast is OK but costs over 5 Euros which is about the same price as in Germany for a 2 star accommodation. Could not get German or English TV channels in the room.||||Summary: In summer the upper level rooms are too hot for comfort, the carpet is heavily stained and uninviting at best...
Read moreWe were for a family weekend in Děčín. Alll hotels were fully booked, so we choosed Hotel U Kaple although you need 45 minutes to walk to the city.||Worst hospitality service I have seen in my whole life. A disgrace to the hospitality and service. The employee made our stay at this hotel, "TERRIBLE". She seemed to be annoyed with us and also xenophobic. She was extremely RUDE. We were the whole weekend completely ignored. Just to mention one example, which says all: ||The bar is open until 11 p.m. So we were sitting outside at 10.45 p.m. to have a drink. She brought a beer to the other two Czech guests. We were ignored so my father went inside and she closed the door in front of him. My friend knocked the door, but no reaction. Then she slammed the front door very loud. We had no idea how to get in our rooms anymore and almost wanted to call the police. Luckily a door in the backyard was open. (By the way, an arrow shows to the main door as an escape door.)||||After three times asking when we arrived how much the cancellation costs , the same employee said 160 CZK (around 6€) per day. In the end we paid 33 € for two days. ||||We will never stay in this hotel again. No...
Read moreAt arrival the hotel stuff ignored us for quite a while. Than threw us a paper to fill it out on the table without any comment. The first evening we had dinner at the hotel. They only served Czech people beer at the table, we had to order it at the bar. Luckily they brought us por food at the table, but of course they mixed up our orders and we everybody had a suprise dinner. The worst thing was that they closed the door of the hotel after 11 pm and didnt tell us anything how to enter the hotel. We arrived after 11 and found in the darkness on the back side of the entrance a small door. generally foreigners are not welcome here, only service for Czech people and the breakfast waitress was Also rude and wanted to command us on another table, no one knows why. The hotel is also quite far away from the city center. You have to take a taxi or walk 40 min. Please choose another hotel. Decin is quite nice but this place you...
