We've been coming back to this hotel for a few years now, mainly because of its beautiful location, nice rooms and a good value for money. Until our most recent stay we've always been very satisfied, but the last stay was disappointing...||We arrived a few days after Christmas during which time the hotel was closed. Unfortunately nobody thought about heating the room in advance, so it was freezing cold when we arrived in the evening. Traveling with a small child this was very inconvenient. We got two small hot air blowers, but these didn't help much over night. The next day, the staff reacted professionally, however, and offered us an upgrade as a compensation. ||We've always liked the menu in the hotel restaurant with international, but also local cuisine and good prices. This however, changed too. Now it is a wannabe fancy pants overpriced French restaurant. We chose to have dinner somewhere else... Talking to other regulars they, even as golfers, told us they don't like the new way of going as well. What everyone wants after a trip in the snow or after a golfing session is a nice warm Czech soup like they offered before.||The breakfast is included, but this turned out very disappointing, too. There definitely used to be more variety before! There were only 2 choices of tea, presented carelessly in their original paper box, the coffee machine was broken repeatedly. The breakfast-staff seemed to be unable to cope with the easiest requests. Around 9 o'clock in the morning, when most of the guests arrived for breakfast, there was no place to sit, so you had to wait and then share a table with other families (not that I mind sitting with other people, but this shouldn't be happening in a 4*hotel).||What I've always been missing in this hotel, is a fitness room....||To mention some positives: the reception staff is still the good old same, professional and friendly. And the rooms, when heated, are comfortable (although, as somebody already mentioned, not very soundproof...) and clean. And of course the location! Nothing can destroy that, we hope! :)||To sum up: we would love to come back, but not as long as things are run as they are at the moment,...
Read moreI booked this hotel from Hotels.com, because I had a family trip I also had with me my dog and this is when all things got complicated and mixed up. It took me around 15 minutes to get my phone reached to the front desk. All I wanted to do is just to make sure that it is ok that I am arriving with the dog.|||| Answers we're "terrific"; "You have booked completely wrong rooms, you need to rebook everything." we were fine with rebooking, I just booked then a correct rooms. They only asked my name and amount of guests that is all. They did not ask anything else. They kindly said that they will send the reservation via email I was fine by that. ||||After a week they wrote me a email telling that "we have sent you a wrong conformation, we will send you a new one. The new conformation was sent only after one more week. That was all fine, but when it came to situation that I could not make my trip, I started to search information about the canceling. I COULD NOT FIND IT! ||||I searched everywhere I tried to wrote an email to the hotel but the letter came all the time back telling that it is a wrong address. Finally I called there and I got to know that I should cancel 48h before arriving. ||||I NEVER GOT THAT INFORMATION ANYWHERE, I TRIED TO REACHED THEM BUT IN THE END IT SEEMD THAT IT IS MY PROBLEM THAT I WAS NOT ON TIME. The answer I got was just amazing; "Well you can cancel if you want but you might have to pay a cancelation fee, which is a pay for one night. I understand that you tried to reach us, do you want to cancel. I don't know anything about the cancelation fee I have to ask from hotel manager. And yeah hotel manager will reach you if needed about cancelation fee." (Oh yeah and I have booked thins hotel only for one night only.) This is the most terrific answer from any hotel in which I have been! ||||This customer service was AWFUL&TERRIBLE. I wanted to share this experience and to tell people to think twice before booking this "five star hotel with excellent customer service".||||definatly I am not...
Read moreThe overall experience was a bit of disappointment for me.|After reading positive reviews that the hotel is fine also for for visitors who will not use the golf facilities and also received a good feedback from a friend,I decided to try this hotel and had expectations to experience a nice relaxing stay despite the fact I don't play golf and did not intend to do so in Ostravice either. ||The wooden cabin was poorly sound proof isolated and I could hear my neighbours upstairs walking and speaking,so the sleeping was not great, despite the fact this was meant to be relaxing stay in this lovely area distant from the town. The fridge was also very noisy and I had to unplug it for night. I had a bad experience with message booking, when the masseur did not have my booking in her schedule and was quite upset and obnoxious after me asking about the message booking. I contacted the reception to ask about this situation and was told that this situation might happen and I was told that was supposed to pick up some ticket for the message-I was never informed there needs to be done this action by myself, although I booked in advance and communicated several times with the hotel reception. In my room there were toiletries provided for free indeed, but I don't understand why hair shampoo was missing. |On the other hand, the area was nice, the hotel room was nice and clean, the view was beautiful, I enjoyed nice breakfast in the morning and wellness was also nice, although a bit small for my liking (booking is also required).|I would recommend the hotel for golf players. For someone who just seeks for an accommodation in this area-I would recommend to look somewhere else, also due to the fact this hotel is quite far from other places in Ostravice if you...
