Hotel looks like renovated student dormitory, parking on the gravel surface or broken concrete, you can rent garage, but dont expect modern underground garage, they have separate lockable garage boxes with metal doors only. On the beginning you must walk to steep stairs. Receptions is similar to postal bulkhead. You have to pay accommondation first (prepayment). When we were in front of reception, we felt overburned fat from kitchen everywhere. When we asked for the dinner offer, receptionist told me, that restaurant is full, because 3 excursions just arrived and we have to take dinner elsewhere. 2 lifts are very old, withoit internal doors. Room looked good, we took Suite on 4th floor. LCD TV with universal remote control, analog channels only, massage shower did not work, becase nozzles was full of water stonem, we didnot find hair dryer. Our room was unfortunately situated to very noisy road. Opened window during the nigh is very good alarm clock adjusted for early morning.||I was not satisfied. I will choose another hotel...
Read morethis is a hotel which was built during the comunist era and has required a lot of money , work and effort to get to today's shape. The reconstruction and refurbishment has been done gradually. You may find here some basic rooms, just waiting for their turn, which are sometimes matter of criticism but they are gradually changed. Thea are also cheaper. The second part of the hotel offers really 4 star rooms with new and modern equipment, comfy beds, original paintings... simply very good level of hotel accomodation. Hotel is very well positioned on the way from Northern Moravia or Poland to Austria. Very good breakfast served, good food in general during the day. The place is quiet, cca 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Free parking in front of the hotel. I will come here for sure again and I recommend it to...
Read moreDidn't expect much for the price, but was still a bit disappointed. Totally different ambiance than in the pictures. Located behind other buildings, with a dark narrow "street" leading to the entrance. Early evening and the lady at the frontdesk claimed to be alone, so no one could be sent to check the phone. Of course this meant that we needed to go down whenever we had a query. Biggest issues with room: you have to run the very cold water for 3 to 5 minutes to get it to heat up. Shower fixtures very outdated and nasty. Paid extra 10 euro for breakfast, but decided to skip it, since the dining area was not appealing at all. All in all, most was as expected for the price. Stars are based on price/quality...
