Gonda Apartments — Hotel in okres Hradec Králové

Summary||Gonda apartments is a wonderful choice as a base to visit the Czech Republic – beautiful countryside, several lovely castles within a 50 km range. As an exploring base, I much prefer it to Prague. In addition, the town of Hradec Kralové is lovely, situated between two rivers and crowned with its old Town. The apartments are well-equipped, very clean and spacious. And the best feature is the owner himself – Milan Gonda – a more hospitable, helpful, delightful host would be hard to imagine. For more details, please continue reading:||||The host||In many years of travel, I have rarely come across a host as charming and interested in his guests as Milan. He says that his work is his hobby – and the joy he brings to his work reflects this attitude. His goal is to make each guest feel like a member of his family and he succeeds admirably.||||The apartment||There are several apartments all of which, I am sure, are as well-appointed, clean and comfortable as the one I stayed in. And, for those who will be news-starved by the time they arrive, the cable TV provides CNN and BBC! ||||Breakfast is provided in a charming pension a few steps away. The breakfast is substantial, delicious and served attentively in a delightful solarium overlooking a garden – a lovely way to start the day.||||The location||Hradec Kralové is approximately an hour’s drive east of Prague, a 1¼ hour bus ride for the traveller without a car, with buses leaving Prague frequently. The apartments are slightly out of the centre of Hradec Kralové, which is a benefit for me, as the area is quiet and green. A very pleasant overnight stay. The location was perfect: a quiet neighborhood approximately 2 km from the historic city center. There are free guest parking spaces available in front of the house. The tastefully decorated apartment on the ground floor had a private entrance and a nice outdoor seating area (patio). The place was super clean and offered a comfortable, spacious double bed, a seating area, satellite TV, and a flawless free WiFi internet connection. Besides a spacious bathroom with complimentary toiletries, there was a kitchenette with a microwave oven, refrigerator, and electric kettle to prepare hot drinks (coffee, tea). The host, Mr. Gonda, was gracious enough to leave snacks, fruit, and yogurt to eat for breakfast. There was also bottled water, soft drinks, and tea and coffee. Mr. Gonda is a people person who takes great pride in his work. He is a professional in every sense of the word. Mr. Gonda was very kind and made me feel like a welcome guest. Gonda apartments are very convenient apartments in Hradec with easy parking facilities and close access to supermarkets and shopping centres. Apartments are spacious , well furnished and very clean. The bathroom is big and also the shower box. Microwave if needed , kettle , fridge and many cupboards for storage and extra cutlery , ironing or hair drying. The owner is fantastic, a very kind person who speaks English and German; he took real good care of us and provided us with fruit , coffee , water and a few beers , not much to add.
