Penzion Nad Oborou — Hotel in okres Hradec Králové

A very pleasant stay overall. The guesthouse is located on the outskirts of Hradec Kralove, about 20 minutes walking distance (approx. 1.2 miles or 2 km) from the historic center. The location and the room were very quiet and ideal for me to relax after a busy day. The Standard Double Room was sufficiently spacious, clean, well-furnished, and had everything I needed - a comfortable bed, minibar fridge, a standard-size bathroom with equipment (e.g., hairdryer) and a corner shower, and free wifi internet access. The wifi connection worked flawlessly. Like most modern hotels, the guesthouse encourages guests to reuse bath towels. A sign next to the bathroom sink instructed me to hang my towels up if I wanted to reuse them or leave them on the floor, and they would replace them with fresh ones. The room was wonderfully warm and cozy even during the cool night temperatures in mid-May. It was situated directly under the roof, with a skylight. The room had no air conditioning, only a portable fan, which could be uncomfortable when the weather warms up. Kudos to the staff for their friendliness, pleasant demeanor, and excellent morning coffee. They spoke fluent English and were very helpful. The continental, buffet-style breakfast offered a decent variety of pastries and baked goods, fruits, juice, cheeses, and other fresh products that would satisfy everyone's needs. The breakfast area offered sufficient indoor seating and also an outdoor terrace. A coffee pot would be welcome so I wouldn't have to ask the front desk staff to make me more coffee, but they were very kind and always provided service with a smile. Parking for guests is free right on the premises of the guest house. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! It really is not only top value for your money but top notch in every way possible! It was my first time in both Hradec Kralove and at Hip Hop Kemp, and I couldn't have found a better place to stay, period! The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was also big and very, very clean (which is a huge bonus in my book). The staff were so very friendly, helpful and always in a great mood. I was made to feel welcome the moment I stepped into the reception area, and all I can say is that it was truly a wonderful experience from A-Z! Breakfast is a buffet style affair, but it was perfect for someone like me and I managed to have something different every single day! We wanted to escape the hustle of the big city and decided on "Penzion Nad Oborou". It truly felt like heaven on earth! The neighborhood is incredibly quiet, and the rooms are designed so you don't hear other guests.
