Hotel Orion — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

I showed up w/o reservation during a motorbike tour. The GM offered me an appartement for a single night and it was fine. Everything was clean and the bed was fantastic. Price was above average, but given the location of the hotel (fantastic view especially when it comes to sunset!), no need to argue.

The restaurant was light and shadow...Lentil soup was proposed as soup of the day, but after ordering I was told it was out. They suggested potato soup instead. Well, I received lentil soup.^^

Main course was Rumpsteak with beans and napkin dumplings. Everything was fine, except the Steak. Very chewy and to be honest, that was no Rumpsteak cut... Anyway, the Service reacted great to my comment, came up with a solution and since I did not want the food to be wasted I kept it. The taste was good, so no big problem except some additional work for my teeth. A little irritatig was the sauce that I consider not from beef, but pig. No big deal, it blended fine with the dumplings and beans.

Would consider coming back if on Tour again in...

Great new hotel in a beautiful location (1020m high) with swimming pool, sauna and adrenaline extreme adventure park next door as well as ski facilities in season. Walking track and cycling tracks. We were staying there 3 nights in a studio room with a terrace (shared to all rooms on that floor) and a fully equipped kitchen. Bed was so comfy (elevated though) and brekky was good. We also ate dinner there with nice tasty choices. Washing/dryer machine available free of charge in the basement level and on site free parking. Well recommended!||On the negative side: Room wasn't serviced (only once a week!) but you can get extra towels through your stay. ||reception was part of the bar/restaurant ||no toiletries in the bathroom, just one shower /shampoo container in the shower||no coffee pods were supplied for the coffee machine (you can buy it from the reception)...

One of the best hotels in Czech Republic. Everything is clean, the room was big, delicious food in the restaurant, very nice and warm swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. In every room, you have your own little kitchen with dishes. There is also a fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher and a cooker. The beds are long and very comfortable. Hotel staff is very friendly. Right next to the hotel is a ski resort. This hotel offers also a game room for children. Breakfast is included in the price and there is a private parking just for hotel guests. This hotel is located on the Plešivec mountain, 1028 metres above the sea level.
