I decided on this hotel only because I could not find anything else free in normal prise on this time - it was film festival's time. I saw the photos of Olena before, but I hoped, the owner renovated it. No - it still looks the same. But not that was the worst.||The recepction of pension (if you can even call it that) works only from 10.00 to 18.00. After them you have to call to the owner to check-in. When I reserved the room, I wrote, that I will be in Karlovy Vary at 10 a.m. Some minutes before I tried to call to number given by owner. Nobody answered. Only after half an hour somebody called back.||When I saw the room, and first of all the bathroom, i was woeful. It was horror. Everything old and dirty. It was also problem with pressure of hot water. I took it just because i had to have any place to sleep.||The morning was more terrible. In the night was the failure of electricity. In morning I tried to call the owner. I tried a half hour with no results. Then I found another numbers on a wall. On first of them answered probably the son of the owner, with pretensions, that I call in the middle of the night (it was 5 a.m.). After row (fortunately, I know a little Czech) he sent an electrician. When I said, that I paid for quiet night, and this situation should have never happened, he said "It's cheap pension. What did you expect for this money"?||Never,...
Read moreAll the hotel seemed old and in a great need of general reconstruction - see the photos. But the main problem was the dirt in the bathroom - it was really the most dirty hotel bathroom I've seen, even if compared with the cheapets hotels in Ukraine and Moldova. Black dirt on the upper parts od the bathroom was at least one year old (later the man from the reception said us: "Well, these part we clean evvery year on Easter.." (!! :-)))) Water did not flow away neither in the bath, nor in the lavatories in the bathroom and in the kitchen/dining room! Instead, waste water from the stink trap flowed on the floor of the bathroom and then to the corridor..||After a hot discussion in the morning we made the administrator return us the money for the next days. However, he returend only 1/3 of money for the day we already lived there instead of 50% we requred. And no...
Read moreWe arrived a bit before 18.00 and had to wait a few minutes for the check-in. This was quick and the guy was very friendly. We loved the room since it was super big and you have a desk with a chair, a sofa, and a double bed as well as a single bed. Outside a big shower/toilet and even a small kitchen. Ample parking around the corner and it was very very quiet outside so you can sleep very good. Another good thing is that you are outside of the big tourist trap downtown. There is a big shopping street with local bars and restaurants just down the street. And a supermarket only 30 meters away from the hotel door. My reviews are always based on value for money and the country in which the hotel is! ||We walked downtown but you better use public transport...
