Hotel Astra Srby u Kladna — Hotel in okres Kladno

My wife and I decided to go out for the weekend on a very short notice - and the hotel was ready to have us. It seems to offer two types of rooms in Wings A and B: we had the smaller one in Wing A. Overall, the hotel is just a little shabby but the room was nice, cozy and spotless! Our half-board was all right - the only complaint was about too much salt in our first dinner! The hotel seems to specialize on corporate events so it was quite empty on the weekend. Nevertheless, the swimming-pool was PERFECT. The jacuzzi seems to work only to order (and for extra payment!). Lot of parking space. Nice woods all around (and a closed-down coal mine just opposite the road!). Stary neudrzovany hotel, zasla spina, puch v celem hotelu, zatuchlina, flekate koberce. Na snidani jsme formou bufetu dostali mimo jine marmeladu, která stala na baru cely minuly den, nechlazena. Chladici box se sunkou, syry, jogurty atd. take nechladil. Na pokoji jsem mela hmyz, jak je videt na fotkach, a lampu upatlanou neidentifikovatelnym bilym "kremem". Při venkovní teplotě 7°C se v celém hotelu, i pres nase upozornovani, netopilo! Pri manipulaci se sprchovym zavesem na me tento spadl i s tyci, na ktere visel - tyc nebyla nijak upevnena, pouze drzela "vlastni vuli" diky rozmerum...) V restaruraci pretrvava jidelni listek s historickou nabidkou jidel - napr. kure s broskvi. V prehledu toho vseho je jiz jen detailem, ze kazdy jidelni listek byl jiny - jeden neobsahoval nabidku vin, druhy mel nektere stranky ledabyle ustrizene, treti byl vyrazne potrhany. Nadobi bylo na dotek nespravne umyte. Hororovy pobyt, bohuzel nutny v ramci pracovni cesty, kdy jsem si hotel nemohla vybrat. Divim se Ceske neuropsychofarmakologicke spolecnosti, ze tento hotel stale pouziva k poradani svych kurzu a seminaru. Je to nedustojne. Ale zrejme jde o penize - za tri noci v tomto hororovem hotelu jsme byli (v ramci ucasti na kurzu) NUCENI zaplatit poplatek 5550,- (poplatek údajně zahrnoval ubytování, stravování (obědy, večeře, občerstvení o přestávkách, nápoje) a hotelové služby). Tento poplatek bychom museli platit i kdybychom si nasli bydleni jinde!...

Hotel is situated in nature so place is quiet. Rooms are clean and in normal European standard as 3 * hotels TV WIFI internet and pool. Parking is free. Restaurant is good but nothing special.
