I can't say a word about the place itself, but the service, led by the male bartender, was rubbish. There were several tense situations throughout the evening with this man. He was rude, impolite, and overall didn't treat the customers appropriately(maybe because we were mostly students, idk). On top of that, he didn't pour us a full batch multiple times and tried to scam us until I said : Hey, Its not full…From that moment on, the argument started and when I tried to explain to him that I know about these scams and cheap tricks(because I also work as a bartender), he slapped me out of nowhere. Then everyone gathered around and made us stop. Unbelievable that a bartender with so much experience would do these scams, plus be able to physically assault a customer when they asked for what they paid for. Maybe he was uncomfortable with my approach, maybe he was in a bad mood, maybe he cant stand students, I don't know, but he behaved amateurly and I know that this behavior is a major reason why the business is failing. In a bar, in a restaurant, in a store, everybody and everywhere EXPECTS to get what...
Read more30 minute walk to the centre. Wouldn't advise walking back in the dark. Taxi cost only about £3. hotel demands you pay as soon as you get there. Room is ok but smacked my head on the ceiling by the window. ||There is a restaurant and ok breakfast for €2.50 It's a menu and you choose which number you want. Didnt like the large amount of flies in there. But seeing as it's so cheap in the centre it was better to eat there. There is free parking on the street outside. Just up the street on the right (if you back is to the hotel) is a little cake shop/cafe good cakes and beer. And a bit further on is a lovely restaurant which did get busy but there is plenty of tables.||||Nasty smell like cabbage in the corridors Restaurant at night looked like a YMCA. Personally it didn't look very inviting. Very noisey when they were leaving. The smoking area was outside so instead of using the toilets they would be weeing in the side of the road. None of the staff spoke any English and I found them to be very miserable.||||i wouldnt stay there again would rather pay extra and stay...
Read moreI have visited and stayed in Olomouc accommodations many times and unfortunately was never satisfied with the options available in previous years. However in my visit several months ago I finally found a place that I liked. Penzion u Kaplicky is not in the centre but it does not take long to get to either by bus or by walking. The room I stayed in was wonderful and the price was excellent value. The breakfast offers were also top notch. The pension is above a hospoda, which is like a pub slash restaurant (where breakfast is served and the reception is.) Staff...
