Pivovarský dvůr Zvíkov — Hotel in okres Písek

Me and my family wanted to have nice lunch so we decided to eat at at Pivovarsky Dvur. We entered at 15:10 and we were informed that there is a wedding so they will serve food at 16:00. Fair enough we said we are ok and will wait. Therefore we were asked if we wish to have some drinks. Miss serving us was really nice at this point. We were served our drinks. At 16:00 we asked if we can order food now but we were informed that we have to wait til 16:30. That was quite unpleasant but we said ok we will wait. At 16:20 we saw that some tables are being served food so my mom went to ask inside if we can order that we are waiting for really long and there are guests who just arrived and they are being served food already . Miss serving us was apologizing and took our order. Food arrived quite fast even tho we observed that guests who arrived way later after us are already eating we still were accepting that it might be bit messy because of the wedding. However the top on the cherry was when I started to eat my main course and found black hair in it. Again this can happen but I was really not satisfied with solution of the servant when I showed her the hair . She took the hair and asked me if I want to pack and take away the rest of the food. On which I answers hmm excuse me but I do not wish to continue with this particular main course. I wish to exchange it for new one . After that they exchanged the food for new portion and miss serving us said . The chef is apologizing however he doesn’t know how the hair gets there as he is bold . Idk if they tried to be funny but this was not the right moment to be funny. I started to eat the new main course which was replaced and I bite into small metal ! ammunition cartridge ! Which was in the meat . Seems like I had lots of bad luck that day. I gave up on food completely lost my appetite, my mom went to inform the staff about above they asked if I didn’t break my tooth but no other action was taken. Nobody even attended our table to not even apologize or anything. My dad finished the rest of the food as he was trying to be polite .

I do work in hospitality field and I did not appreciate the way this entire situation was handled at all. I’m not person who complaints nor does my parents. I do understand things can go wrong but if they do they definitely should be handled differently. I gave 2 starts because my mom and dad really loved the beer but service was really...

This place is TERRIBLE do NOT waste your time here!

Very expensive bad overcooked meals, dirty bathrooms in the hotel area, uncomfortable beds and even more uncomfortable service! We ordered a steak cooked 'medium', the manager took the order and then the meal came it was OVERCOOKED the manager then said the chef could not cook things medium!! crazy.

There is no receptionist so you have to pay the manager when you first arrive so you cannot get your money back

DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! DO NOT COME HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I stayed at this hotel together with two friends in 4/2025 for one night on our way from Austria to Germany. It was our first time in Czechia. The staff member that welcomed us spoke perfect German and English, another one the next morning would help us in English. Food in the Restaurant and breakfast were tasty and plenty, so was their beer. I liked the location amidst beautiful nature, close to two rivers and an impressive castle.
