Fabrika Hotel — Hotel in okres Pelhřimov

I am rating the restaurant only as I have not stayed in the hotel. But I can imagine that it will be quite hard to sleep during the party nights as there is a popular club in the hotel. And party night means almost every night in Humpolec. :-) And the restaurant is not very good. It tries to look trendy and as a fine dining restaurant. But only from the outside and only on pictures. The food looks considerably poorer on plates. And it corresponds to the taste. I do not like the food here. And I also think that it is quite pricy for this town. It's definitely an attractive building; very modern and sleek. The patio is lovely. This hotel has won numerous awards so I'm quite puzzled by the quirky service. Firstly, no staff acknowledged our presence and we had to wait for quite some time before a waiter brought menus. I found it odd that their drink menu had no wines listed. I settled for the Prosecco which arrived room temperature. I had to ask for ice. The cheese was tasty but hardly worth the price for 2 pieces of cheese, stale bread (no butter) and 4 twigs of greens. Only at restaurant: The food was very good, corresponding with the high price level. But two big negatives: the speed of service was bad, had to wait !20min to be asked, what drinks we wanted and did not get much better afterwards. And the restaurant was basically empty at that point of time. the dessert was tasty, but did not taste as fresh, more like stored somewhere for a longer time.
