Hotel Lions Plzeň — Hotel in okres Plzeň-město

Booked into here by my employer, the normal choice not been available. It is a small family run hotel, but very clean and reasonably comfortable. It appears to be furnished along the lines of a Novotel or similar, everything simple but functional. The rooms are kept well and the beds comfortable, although more choice of pillows would be nice. Breakfast is buffet style, same choice everyday but all freshly cooked and plenty of availability. No evening meal service, but there is a small restraunt next door, it has a simple menu with daily specials, and all well cooked and presented. There is a free wifi available and is more than fast enough for anything I would need. The staff are limited in their spoken English but know enough to be helpful and friendly.The hotel is situaited about a 20 minute walk from the central square of town, you can choose to walk by the river or just follow the road. If the weather is not so good then I'm afraid you are a little isolated, one of the few down sides to this place. I stayed for 6 nights, if it had been a longer visit I may have looked for something a little more central, although it was very convenient for my business only a short walk away. Will I stay again? We booked through booking,com and when arrived were shown a very "simple' room that didn't compare to rooms we slept in for the same or even lower rates. whan we asked for a better room we wrere asked to pay another 15 euro - so the price added up to 65 euro. Who ever books through booking.com gets "lower grade rooms". and there is a big difference.between the lower grade rooms - and what are called - "the hotel rooms" . ||the breakfast was very nice. the hotel is half an hour walk to the center of plzen, and for the room prices you mightest will take an hotel in the center. ||There is free Parking in a parking lot and streets near by. ||very clean. ...
