Hotel Koruna Prachatice — Hotel in okres Prachatice

This hotel is located fully in the city centre. It was just completely refurbished (reportedly there are new owners). It looks like I was the first visitor and my room was not ready yet, all furniture was still in boxes, no towels etc. But all was fixed by the end of the day. Workers were still busy with finishing the other rooms. It was an atypical situation, so better not make any judgement, everybody did his best. Of course new, the room was very clean; same applies for the bathroom and the shower. The room was of appropriate size for the overnight. Indeed, it is here not the purpose to stay in the room; there are so many nice walks and trips to do in this region. The breakfast was very copious, slightly too much. My son and I spent the night of 8th December 2016 at this charming hotel. The rooms were clean , pleasant and in good decorative order. The showers were perfectly adequate though lacking those little soap/shampoo bottles that can be found elsewhere. On what was a particularly cold night the entire place was warm and comfortable. The breakfast of ham and eggs could not have been better, contrasting sharply with the horrors often served up in hotels for breakfast.|The town is full of charm with its 15th century square and single surviving gate from the same period. There are several excellent places to eat and enjoy the best beer in the world. Menus seem ,rather sensibly, to be designed around beer rather than wine. That said ,Czech wines are often very good also!|This would make a wonderful holiday venue for an extended summer stay ,particularly for those wishing to avoid garishly...

It is a nice hotel, having special atmosphere, only few rooms available, but ours was nice, big, clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was huge and clean. The hotel is situated in the corner of the main square, hidden from the rush. Parking is also available in front of the hotel - ask the reception for the note to be put in the car. Restaurant is superb. Several rooms, so you can be separated if you wish, perfect meal, diet food also available. Servis is perfect.||The only and big negative is breakfast. Bad. We were only offered bread, few slices of chees and raw bacon (plus butter, honey and ugly marmelade). You have to choose tea or coffee. I do not understand why you cannot have both. Absolutely no milk, no cereals, no jogurts, no fruit.... Probably we were the only visitors of that day and somebody was lasy to prepare breakfast. I gues it is not like that...
