Pension Harmonie — Hotel in okres Semily

Hruba Skala is a charming village, surrounded by pine forest and amazing rock formations. We stayed one night in Pension Harmonie, which is around 15 min walk down hill from Hruba Skala Castle. Our room, decorated in a rustic style, was very clean and of a reasonable size. The pension has a lovely garden with tables and chairs, that overlooks the rocks and the castle, where you can chill and enjoy the views after a long walk. The owners, who live across the road are hospitable and very helpful. Jane has picked us up from the train station and on the next day arranged a taxi to take us to Trosky Castle. Need to mention though, that the taxis are quite expensive there, probably because there aren't many, as locals don't use them. We had dinner in Hruba Skala castle (there is a restaurant in its courtyard), the food was tasty and surprisingly, reasonably priced. To sum it up, we have enjoyed our stay in Pension Harmonie, and Hruba Skala is a nice area to visit if you would like to get away for a couple of days from busy...

An excellent Bed and Breakfast in a very quiet village, we have stayed here twice and look to book here whenever we are visiting Cesky Raj. The owners are friendly and the rooms are clean and well presented. Breakfast is continental style served in the ground floor dining room. When we arrived on our most recent visit to Pension Harmonie, we arrived after a long day walking and the owner did everything possible to make us comfortable, even making us a fresh pot of tea and coffee to enjoy in the garden while we watched the sun go down behind the hills. The B&B is 1920's Art Nouveau Style and has been completely renovated, keeping true to the original style of the building. We had a wonderful time at Harmonie pension. Location is perfect: lots of hiking path accessible by foot or very close by car. Turnov city 10mins away. Rooms were very quiet, neat and clean and of course the couple running this place was very nice we spent nice time exchanging with them despite the language barrier between us ☺️
