MOTEL VEGA — Hotel in okres Tábor

On this trip we are driving ten countries with our daughter and her family. So everywhere we stop for the night we need two or three rooms depending on what is available. I found Motel Vega on an online booking site. We were driving up from Melk Abbey in Austria to Prague and wanted to stop and take a break for one night. ||||This Motel is between two gas stations off a main road but was very quiet. There is a Café in front, so parking for the Motel is around the back. The entryway is very pretty, all glass with a garden area and tables outside. The lady at check-in did not speak English. We are Czech Americans but we don't speak Czech. We were able to get everything taken care of with the help of another guest who spoke good English. We paid in Czech Koruna. Each room was $44.00, a wonderful bargain.||||Each room had two single beds, a desk, small flat screen TV, two big comfy chairs which I think could pull out into beds. There was a nice cubby unit to store things. The bathroom had a big walk-in shower, toilet and sink, all sparkling clean. There was a small stocked refrigerator. We just kept track of what we used and paid for it at check-out. Breakfast comes with the room. Be aware of hidden surecharges. There is no possibility to pay by business credit card and there is surecharge 250 CZK for check-in after 7pm. All of these information are hidden before you make an teservation. Very bad choice if you travell...

Musím říct, že pro mě bylo jednodenní přespání v motelu Vega šok. Pozitivní šok! :) Slovo "motel" si ještě pamatuju z dob "devadesátek" a většinou se jednalo o nějakou špeluňku u silnice... kde jsou ty doby :,). Rezervaci jsme si vyřídili mailem/telefonicky, pěkný dvoulůžkový pokoj s přistýlkou byl připraven, byl vzdálen od silnice, takže v noci klid. Spokojenost s čistotou motelu, personálem (pán na recepci, paní u snídaně), tipy na rychlé porozhlédnutí se po okolí (Benešova vila), tip na restauraci se slevou (využili jsme, spokojeni!), všechno super.
