Wow, we got this special apartment with the little tower-like medieval structure that overlooks the square. I love it so much! The room is incredibly handsome, spacious and luxurious, the rugs and curtains thick, the furniture functional and pretty. We got a little kettle and tea supplies at our disposal in the room, a mini bar, robes and slippers, several pillows of different sizes, a nice bath tub, brand-name soap and shampoo... The bed is very big and comfortable, might be a bit too high for some people (I'm glad I thought of bringing a number of little mattresses to pad its surroundings should our young son fall off it), the sofa bed is sturdy and comfortable, too. There is a little (or not so little) living room in the huge hallway just outside our room that could be very useful should we stay longer in this hotel next time. It has a spa with a whirlpool, two types of sauna and a relaxing area. Water was served without request, a thoughtful gesture as it gets really warm there. Be sure to book the spa in advance. They reserve it just for you and your family, a maximum of 5 people. It's worth mentioning, though, that they do not serve food apart from breakfast (but did get us a glass of warm milk when requested). The breakfast wasn't anything special (nor was the coffee), but it did not lessen my overall experience. I am sure to recommend this place and I am looking forward to...
Read moreThe Alexander hotel is located on a square where you can see the only tourist attraction of Stribro: its city hall. The hotel looks nice from the outside. There is an adequate parking place at the back. The reception desk staff is friendly and efficient. Getting hot water (there is no water cooker in the room) is not a problem. The lift is constructed against the back gable. Rooms are quite adequate and a good deal for the price. They are clean, well maintained, heated and isolated.||||Unfortunately, Stribro does not rise above being a stop on the road from Prague to Germany, but if that's what you need, this hotel...
Read moreI booked a deluxe room at the 1st floor. Wanted the big window high ceiling rooms, only to get there and realize that one of the staff mooved me to the atic rooms, which have a low tilted ceiling and seem very small. No explanation given for the move, antgere was no way to change it since the hotel was fully booked. |The townsquare clock, chimes every hour and probably makes some sound every 30 min. It ca be very annoying and evdnkeep you awake at night. |Not a great experience...
