Pension Štybar — Hotel in okres Tachov

We stopped here after a long drive, looking for a place to put our camper. Stybar has a huge parking lot across the street from the restaurant. The owner even let us camp over-night with our self-contained vehicle. The restaurant has wifi, so we were able to catch up on the news while drinking our beer and wine. The meal was wonderful...fresh tuna was amazing, and the cook actually went outside to get fresh thyme for the meal. The pasta, flavored a bit with anchovies, was equallyl good. Lucy, the waitress, spoke great English, though as long as we can point to a menu, language barriers aren't a big problem for us in our travels. This is a classy restaurant, and I would assume many neighboring Germans come across the border for a very economical yet...

We enjoyed a large, luxurious room and two very fine meals during our short visit to Stribro. The hotel is located on a main route into the historic center and has its own gated parking lot across the street. From there, its only a couple of blocks to the main square or to the convent garden with views across the valley. Our ground-floor room was large and plushly furnished. Unfortunately we were traveling during a historic heat wave and, with the window open, the noise and views from the street are problematic. The restaurant courtyard with its herbs and flowers growing all around, was a very pleasant location for a top-quality evening meal. Rooms are wonderfull and clean (+++). It's such a cosy building with high attention to detail (flowers, candles, paintings, statues and aromas). Amazing home-made local breakfast. The staff is friendly always willing to help with a huge smile. Giving tips and tricks for the perfect trip. Perfect location. In a few minutes you are mountainbiking in an enchanted forest.
