Unfortunately, we have an issue here and I can’t give a good opinion:
The place is on nice location, the view
we ordered two meals: “halumi cheese” and beef 5 min later we the waiter informed me that “beef” one is not available - I choose other “beef” meal. After next 5 min the waiter informed me that 2nd “beef” one is not available… I choose steak (rare). So, after some while I got my steak (it was not rare more medium). When I finished my meal we have been asked if everything is ok … no, because we are still waiting for “halumi meal” … it was the owner probably.. She said: I will check it out … after few minutes I call waiter and asked if he can check what is going on with “halumi”. He said: it’s preparing And after few minutes again I asked other waiter to check it … it’s preparing And after next few minutes I went to check it by myself …. and asked for chief and explanation
While was waiting on bar, the meal was was finally served to table and (probably) the owner started to explain me, that they have issue with chief… and “halumi” has been forgotten… She offered price reduction (I didn’t want to) …. - it was smth what I did not expected, and it was not the best solution. But it was smth.
In fact, in this case, the waiters should informed me directly that they forgotten about 2nd meal and offer smth small in the meantime.
They should not play … waiters are front workers and should know how to deal with issue. They didn’t know.
And waiting...
Read moreif you love the idea of being completely remote from the rest of the world (save the wifi connection of course) then this place is perfect. It's not possible to drive there, so they send down a snowmobile taxi to pick you and your luggage up. If you arrive at night like we did, you'll get to enjoy a 5 minute journey through the forest with just a single light showing the way. An unforgettable experience to start your stay.||||The hotel has lots of charm and character, which made for a pleasant and enjoyable stay - the squeaking floor boards added to that. The rooms were small but sufficient for our needs and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and we slept well. ||||The food at the hotel was fantastic, they had a good range of options on the menu and it smelt like it was all home cooked, as when we returned in the afternoon from skiing we were greeted by wonderful smells from the kitchen. When we sat down to eat later in the evening we weren't disappointed it tasted fabulous. To go with the food they have a large range of drinks and offered to make virtually any cocktail possible. So we tried a couple which we great, although for me the best part were the slightly unusual glasses they were served in, it added to the fun. ||||Will definitely come back again if staying...
Read moreReally liked this place and will return every time from now on. From the start when we had to change our booking at the last minute they were really helpful. The hotel is beautiful and really cosy. The rooms are quite basic - it's not a luxury hotel but I found them to be perfectly adequate and very clean. The food is excellent! The prices are not cheap but very reasonable. They have great local beer too. Jana is really friendly and looked after our group of 16 people and made us all feel incredibly welcome. They even offered for us all to stay an extra night for free! They also offered us 3 nights for free in the summer which I will definitely take. There is a free pool table and also a great little sauna. The hotel is very close to the Svety Petr slope and you can ski to and from the piste directly from the hotel - it's perfect for those on a skiing holiday. They picked us up on a snowmobile when we arrived and also gave us lifts into the town for free in the morning to hire ski gear - brilliant. Jana travels to Africa a lot and she donates all tips from the hotel to charities working for African children. What more can I say? ...
