The hotel has potential and is in a great location, but…

I didn’t like that the price we booked the hotel on a booking site was manipulated by the hotel’s conversion rate, which added 10% on top. Apparently the price on the confirmation was only “informative” and I shouldn’t be surprised.

Cash only as there’s no signal in this historic building, I was told while looking at the full LTE and Wi-Fi coverage on my phone. Local cash point adds another 8% commission.

The room was horrible, no windows but only a small skylight and very hot. Dirty walls.

The owner became quite rude and visibly annoyed after I asked him about justification for price difference. The whole stay became just unpleasant and my 5yo asked why the room looked like a prison cell.

Czechia is a very nice country where you can eat decent food at a lot of restaurants. Not so strange if you think that Chechia cuisine is quite influenced in the past by Austrian, East German and Hungarian kitchen. ||This accounts also for the restaurant in Metsky Hotel. Good and typical Czech food. The ambiance is also typical for Czechia as well ast the location. This si at the main town square underneath one of the arcades. And I wonder why almost evry Cezech village has a town square that looks really like a square, with a statue in the middle and arcades all around with shops, hotels and restaurants. Hotel located in central square and you can see it from your window. Old building but well renovated, our family room was big and clean, bathroom was big enough and spotless clean. Furniture and beds was very simple. You need to fill out many forms during check in but reception lady was very pleasant.||You can book a garage for your car for 5EUR but there is plenty space in square in front of hotel and parking is free until 8:00 in the morning.||Breakfast was provided as a simple set but we...
