Hotel Koníček — Hotel in okres Uherské Hradiště

The hotel is hopeless. Only the restaurant is good, actually very good. There is constant noise from the hotel terrace and a nearby pub, sometimes till the midnight. When we complained they told that it is normal, that the restaurant guests want to enjoy themselves. When we replied that the hotel breaks its own rule of silence after 22.00, again they told us they can do nothing about it (i.e. about their own terrace) and if we dont like the noise we should call the police ourselves. I am not going on holidays to call police and to solve the mismanagment problems of a hotel. The hotel simply wants to earn as much money as possible and it does not care how. The bathrooms are clean, but already quite aged and the walls are too thin. You hear your neighbours quite distincly The receptionist was very friendly when we were booking, but very unfriendly, arrogant, a kind of communist style attitude when we were in the hotel. They claim that pets are welcome and free. Not at all. They charged us for our dog some 24. euro for three nights. They do not have any pricelist. It is their trick you come with your pet, they are all smiles and they say nothing, and at the departure they charge you some price, they just created. Again very communist style. Our experience at this hotel was the best. The hotel has such a calm feel to it. It's clean, neat and the bed is extremely comfortable! We slept so good we were amazed to wake up so early in the morning feeling like we've had enough sleep. The pillow is really flat but it's good for sleeping on your stomach and back if not you can fold it in two and its just right for sleeping on your side(we were in another hotel in Brno and it also had this pillow and bedding wich for us was super comfortable and we figured that's what their pillows are like). It is close to center, has own parking, and pleasant staff. Breakfast is simple, tasty, fresh nothing too fancy, just right for the hotel. We have just recently returned from Hotel Koníček. Our experience was really positive as always :) All the staff very helpful and attentive. Fortunately, there was no party going on / sometimes guests are very noisy/ so we have enjoyed very good sleep - the mattress and bed linen was the softest and most comfortable I have ever experienced :) We had the package with accomodation and half board, the buffet breakfast was adequate to the 3* hotel and dinner had 3 courses / soup, main meal and dessert / - very yummy :) The positive was that there was no given time to eat your dinner.
