Hotel Pohoda — Hotel in okres Zlín

My mother has been visiting this Wellness hotel for a few years now||and asked me to join in for a long weekend to get some rest ||and enjoy a few spa treatments.||||Being used to UK prices for similar treatments it was nice||to get a VIP treatment without the VIP price tag!||||All spa staff are trained professionals, with years of experience||in their field. I was very happy with all service and treatments||that I have received.||||The hotel is not in the center of town, but a short 5 minute cab ride away,||or a half an hour slow walk if you prefer.||All staff make you feel welcome at all times, from the receptionist, to the bar||and restaurant staff, to the housekeeping and of course the wellness spa.||||This place is one of the cleanest I have visited, up to a very high standard throughout.||Procedures can be booked in advance, to suit your time, or on arrival but then expect||you will need to adjust to the busy spa schedule as this place serves long stay (up to 2 weeks) ||as well as short stay customers. If you only come for a short stay, best to book in advance.||||Breakfast was the best meal of the day for us, buffet style, with plenty to choose from, ||hot or traditional continental food. We opted for lunch in local small pubs||and restaurants, just to get a more of a variety of meals. ||Dinner can be also part of your stay package if you wish or again eat in town. ||||The choice and selection of drinks, beer, wine is also very good.||Local wine selection from South Moravia is well represented.||||Swimming pool is open from early AM to late PM, and so is the sauna (with 4 different types||of sauna to choose from).||||The spa treatments can be booked from half an hour to full body/ full hour , again||to suit your needs. You can have 4 in a row if you wish and if you book early. ||||Bath robes are provided on arrival and are handy for easier and faster access to the||spa facilities.||||Internet connection is provided free of charge for the guests.||There are smoking areas outside on the restaurant balcony.||||It is possibly more suitable for couples, or retired couples, but there were||families with small children as well, well looked after and with full access to the||pool and large play area in the back of the restaurant.||||I would recommend if you are looking for a peaceful break, away from||the city life, with spa treatments with great value for money.||||My husband was the only English speaking guest at the time of our visit||and was well looked after. Most staff speak basic English as well as German.||||Apart from drinking wine and beer, the local springs should be also ||part of your sampling during your stay.||||There are local hot and cold springs (16 all together)||and some are part of the treatments in the hotel.||||The Spa resort of Luhacovice has grown since early 19th century||and has been a popular destination for the Czech spa goers with||Their main benefit being for people with asthma, bronchitis, digestive...

We spent a week of off-season holiday in this new, modern, well furnished hotel, which does credit to its name “amenity”. Situated 20 mins walk from the centre of the spa town of Luhacovice and a 5 mins walk from a dam its location is good for those who want to be active as well as for those who just want to relax. It is also because every hotel guest has a free access to a small gym and a spa zone including 15m long pool, sauna and 3 different steam cabins. If you are really lazy you can use a shuttle service provided 6 times a day to get to the centre of the town or back.||||Air-conditioned hotel rooms are big enough, with balcony, guests are provided with dressing gowns and basic cosmetic. Sleeping quality is also good (unless your next door neighbor is a half deaf, watching TV late at night).||||Buffet breakfasts and dinners included in the price are offered in a hotel restaurant. Food assortment is wide enough so you probably won’t get fed up with it even during a longer stay. The restaurant staff does their best to fulfill you wishes. We also found a restaurant menu as very good and delicious, although we had lunch only two times there.||||As nothing is perfect, we also found some small drawbacks. We would expect higher level of activity and professionalism from receptionists. Although they did not do anything particularly wrong, they seemed to be just “doing their work”. The hotel offers very good value in relation to the price. This, quite paradoxically, can be another negative, as good prices attract many people and some of them just do not know what an appropriate behavior in such a hotel means. I am speaking about people coming to dinner dressed in tracksuits, not keeping the basic rules in sauna etc.||||Anyway, our conclusion is that we will highly recommend this hotel to...

Short summary:||Location. |Hotel locate far from center. If you want to go by feet it takes you 30 minutes, because the way goes though park. They have free bus, but it goes 1 time per hour since 9 am to 5 pm. Bus driver makes 2 hours siesta lunch break. :) and there is no public bus possibility. I would suggest they drive guests to/from city on request. ||Service. |I have the feeling reception is not looking forward to make step to you or to make you satisfied. When you request for unusual thing for them, they simply refuse. Why? Because it's extra work for them.|The stuff in restaurant is very nice and friendly. ||Room.|While 1 week our stay the linens were not change, flour was not cleaned. Housekeeping was every day in room to change towels. ||Restaurant. |You better stand up earlier to enjoy breakfast buffet, because some things may be over. |The choice of breakfast is every day same: cold cuts, pastry, Muesli, 2 kind warm sausages, egg sunny side up, fruits. The quality of food is very good. |Service in restaurant is very nice, friendly and helpful. They prepared for us breakfast to go on request. |I would recommend to try lunch or dinner at this restaurant. Food is good and prices are not higher than in city. You may also enjoy dinner buffet, food there is delicious and every day different choice.|The flour carpet in restaurant is so dirty with stains. (See picture ) it's really needed to be washed 1 day..||Wellness centre. |It's really good! They have pool, jacuzzi and sauna areas and a beautiful forest view.||My husband and I spent 1 week in this hotel.
